Coyote, welcome to my thread. You see, I believe in Gravity. Gravity built the Universe, and Gravity runs it. It's Gravity that keeps the Moon orbiting Earth, not Anti-Gravity.
Yes, the rest of the world thinks the Universe is operated by Ant-Gravity. They say Anti-Gravity is pushing the Universe apart. Now, if you push something, you're going to get Compression and Compaction - both warming effects.
Now, if you pull something - there is always the danger you might pull it apart. Anyway, if you pull it, there's going to be de-compression, and even expansion, both cooling effects. We're cooling down, as I
hope you know.
Anyway, nice chatting to you. Hope you get back to me.

Just a minute...
Repetition! ...and deviation.
Well, that's one way to get the thread into summary mode.

Re: Context
Percy, You think thne Universe is being pushed apart by Dark Energy - really Anti-Gravity. If you push something, Percy - you're going to get Compression and Compaction, both warming effects.
If you pull something, there is always the danger you might pull it apart, no? If you pull something, you're going to get Decompression and Expansion, both cooling effects. We're cooling, not warming, Percy.
But you'll never see it. Too bad, Percy.

NoNukes, too bad thedre's no actual evidence of any slowing down of the expansion. What you're doing is 'assuming' that the expansion slowed down, and we know how dangerous these 'assumptions' can be to Science.
You think the Universe is being pushed apart by Dark Energy (really Anti-Gravity.) With all that Compression and Compaction, we'er warming, no?
Of course not. If you pull something you might pull it apart. You're going to get Decompression and Expansion - both cooling effects.
It's pretty obvious to me that Gravity's running the show. Let me know what you think.

No Nukes, there was no BigBang - the Universe wasn't created, 'poof'. It evolved slowly, over time.
LeMaitre couldn't see the Universe. He assumed it was expanding, dangerous assumption when he didn't know the expansion was accelerating. That means we're going in. You don't know it, but I do. That's actually why we're accelerating.
Darwin had the same problem. Up against years of 'conditioning' he knew he would have difficulty.
The expansion started slowly, and gradually accelerated.

No Nukes, I have no idea how a flat Universe would appear - like a Vortex?
All we can see is the Observable Universe and it's accelerating expansion. We should study these things, and I don't mean maybe.
I know about ten of these 'accelerating expansions,' all of them Inward. Are you able to come up with one? I'd like to hear it - just not your Universe, okay?

Repetition and Deviation. You obviously don't like my style, Panda. I wonder why you're still hanging around?

Re: Context
Peter, I think you must be having a conversation with the voices in your head, because you didn't respond to anything I actually said. You know, about how the universe's expansion was decelerating until about 5 to 10 billion years ago. And that would mean the expansion was outward until then.

But sadly, no hesitation.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

I have to ask why this thread ever got promoted even into Free For All

Yes, I know. As Admin I explained to you that it wasn't evidence. You kept claiming it was too evidence and AdminPhat finally dumped your thread here in Free For All, land of the loons.

You are a buffoon. Aren't you supposed to be disproving "pulling something"?
