Author | Topic: Hollow Earth Expedition? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

In Isaiah 31:37 KJV Bible, It is claimed by God that the foundations of the earth cannot be searched out. Check out Proverbs 25:3 as well.
Having said that God also says what the earth is made of etc, in many other places in the KJV. and includes a knowledge of how matter exists, and all the functions of nature we observe from the weather to the universe, and how it operates as well. What do you think might be the reason the interior of the earth cannot be discovered?

Sorry about that, it was supposed to be Jeremiah 31:37, not Isaiah.
When I read these texts for the first time I had the same response as you. God does not say in other places, that we cannot know or understand what is in the earth, but that it cannot be discovered. I was reading about all those efforts to drill through the crust, and yes as you said the pressure and heat down there...But somehow I am pretty sure we can drill through, its just a matter of time and technology. The anticipation ranges from just another day on the drill rig to there is something weird down there. Remember people had the same reactions before the sound barrier was broken in an aircraft.

Just a couple of texts in regards to the earth, God asks Job a lot of questions about the foundations of the earth. Job 38. A second look at these texts shows the answers in each question.
The concepts are derivatives or expansions of Genesis 1. Most people think the earth was there, on the first day of creation, but Moses records that God declares the earth "appearing" on the third day. Before that, we have the waters and the light. So depending on what we think the Bible says about these two elements, may determine what the earth is founded on, and why some people in the 1800's, jumped to the misdirected conclusion that the earth is hollow. From there on fantasies entered, even from the pulpit... as you know. But the Bible has something else to present, that is scientific rather than mythical.

Job 38, talks about the foundations of the earth, what the earth is founded on, that is, whatever is under it.
And because the earth is a sphere, the texts are talking about what is in the earth, as well as the creative processes involved. To provide info on the related topics would take weeks and months on the forum, however you don't need me to do that for you once you understand a couple of basics. In regards to the hollow earth, I said that the concept was a mistaken one, so you don't have to try and tie it in with the creation story. Edited by Colbard, : Add text

I mentioned other topics on nature that the Bible opens up, because they are related to this one, but first things first. The understanding of creation and its processes comes from the basics in Genesis. All the other mysteries are branches of these first principles.
However if Job, Jeremiah, Genesis, Proverbs are just a collection of poetic unscientific gibberish...then there is no point in discussing them.

The answers are all there for you to read. Make sure it is the KJV.
Read Genesis 1 and Job 38 If you cannot understand it, then ask God to open up your thinking, and you will get the answers one at a time. If you don't believe in God, then let Him prove that to you by giving you answers. If you think that God won't listen to you, then apologize first.

You had your chance to find out from me, but you were too wise to listen, so now you can find out yourself, and if you don't get an answer, we'll know why.
There is a good chance that if you were told the answer you would not believe it anyway, and you would scoff at it, the same way that you scoff at anything or anybody that does not fit into your present scope. Edited by Colbard, : Add

God claims to have inspired the writing and preservation of the Bible,
so it makes sense to communicate with the author about its content. I will discuss what it says about the earth's interior when you have received the answers. But if you are afraid to communicate with God then, we don't have anything to discuss, except ideas that have been in circulation since the French revolution. Ephesians 4:18 KJV.

To all of the recent replies,
You already have all the answers about the earth's interior, makes me wonder what would drive you to converse with a misguided delusional person, quoting from a scientifically unreliable source, what is more, none of you are able to remain on the topic, but are caught up in personal problems that interfere with you logging into the Source I proposed. You don't like what I have said, and you don't have any use for the references from the Bible. There is no point in me replying here.

1. Your post title says its nonsense,
2. What I have posted is nonsense 3. The Bible is nonsense 4. You probably thought it was nonsense in the first place 5. You came here to clean up the nonsense 6. And succeeded 7. And now you are sitting in a thread that's going your way 8. I have just agreed to your declarations 9. So you're here waiting for what?

Only you have concluded that the Bible is not of any scientific value, that's your opinion, that's fine.
So what have you said about the earth's interior? or do you just reflect the opinions of the majority? If so, you would not be here on this "out there" topic would you?

The hollow earth theory, is not even scientific is it?
The question is what are you doing here? That's a puzzle isn't it, and I can tell you are still curious about what I could have said about the interior of the earth. Put it this way, if man discovers what is in the earth, then the Bible is wrong. All you have to do to prove it wrong is dig! When they do drill down far enough, the end of the drill will 'melt off' without physically melting from heat. "Oh rubbish" says NoNukes. "Where's the evidence for that! what nonsense!" Of course I have no idea of what I am posting, the predictable reactions, don't even know why I am here? By the way, if the information is only in the Bible, and there is no scientific evidence for it, does that make it wrong? According to Percival, it's not science - have to ask a panel of unwashed men first. Intellectual codependency?

An opinion can be based on a conclusion.

That's right, I am unwilling to tell what you can discover yourself, it will be your privilege and your reward.
I'll tell you later. Edited by Colbard, : No reason given.

Good on you. The evidence is not just in scientific circles, sometimes it's on the edge a little, that does not mean that we have to accept everything that comes our way, but leave that door slightly open.
