Re: snow in May
We're supposed to get snow early tomorrow morning. It won't stick but should be pretty while it storms.
Had a couple of rare thunderstorms a couple of weeks ago, scared the crap out of my male Akita. 150 lbs of dog cowering in bed is not a great way to wake up.

Re: snow in May
I remember the excitement of the very rare snowfall in California. It's never that exciting here.
We get half a dozen storms per year, unfortunately it's not enough for some folks around here to learn how to drive in them. I learned to drive in Idaho so snowy roads don't bother me.
Regarding dogs & killers, I remember right after Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered. I couldn't believe OJ would do something like that & leave his kids alone in the condo w/ their mother bloodied & dead outside. Then a local news team showed video of Nicole's Akita's reaction to OJ & that dog was cowed. I instantly recognized that body language & I knew he did it.

Re: snow in May
I've mentioned I live in California once or twice in messages to Faith, but I understand that not everyone hangs on my every word.
Tehachapi, my little town, has enough elevation in the middle of California to catch snow storms.

Re: 108 in France today
We had a rare lightning storm the other morning & a house in my neighborhood was struck & caught fire.
We've had to clear our property line twice, so far, for fire protection. But our insurance company dropped our fire coverage anyway cuz we were just designated as living in a wildfire zone. Had to get a separate policy from a different company, of course more $$$.
