Faith writes: Nevertheless a Christian couldn't vote for gay marriage under any circumstances. Bullshit Faith. I am a Christian and support same sex marriage so once again you are shown to be at best misrepresenting reality.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

If such a law gets passed anyway, which by the way would be against the vast majority of the people who have supported the many gay marriage bans ... Same-Sex Marriage Support Reaches New High at 55%

I see peaceful protests, I see mention of someone receiving a letter, I see prolife advocates protesting police harassment, I see absolutely nothing that shows the prolifers behaving as you claim they do:
trash clinics, get laws passed closing down clinics, shout obscene things at pregnant women trying to visit the clinics? Evidence of them "trashing clinics" please, or of "shouting obscene things at pregnant women." Getting laws passed by legal means is not an offense unless they violate a higher law, and you didn't provide evidence of that anyway. Abortion is murder, jar, just another reversal of good and evil in once-Christian America. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Apparently the "young adults" are being brainwashed. Why does their vote count more than the votes of the rest of us? In any case that doesn't change the fact that the many gay marriage bans expressing the popular viewpoint that have passed in a vast majority of the states have been unconstitutionally disqualified by the evil sick unconstitutional Supreme Court.

You mean that the unconstitutional laws have been rightly thrown out by the Federal Appeals Courts. Because there was no valid argument for the bans. When you don't even know which courts are involved you can hardly claim to be informed about the actual cases.
And of course, characterising the courts as "sick" and "evil" simply for coming to a decision you don't like is just the demonisation of opponents. I guess that will be the justification you use for the re-education camps.(Well, how else are you going to convince us that we're Nazis ?)

You managed to provide ONE example of a clinic being trashed and without evidence of who did it, along with evidence of thousands of peaceful protests. Your second link in this post is a complaint that the peaceful protests are allowed to get too close to the people coming for an abortion. That is hardly evidence of what you claimed, that the prolife movement does anything similar to the LGBT movement. No "obscene" shouting, none. ONE clinic trashing and by whom we don't know, while thousands of prolifers have behaved peacefully.

So, according to you, if people vote against recognizing same-sex marriage then the people have spoken & laws are adjusted accordingly.
Then a few years later, the people vote again & this time they approve same-sex marriages. The laws are adjusted accordingly, and then a few years after that the people vote again. Do you see why civil rights issues like this can't be left to popular vote?

Well, no, we do not know if they are peaceful. And how is any of that behavior different than one bakery getting upset because they did break the law?
Get real Faith. Do you not understand that I can continue providing example after example of the Pro-Life Nazi Terrorists?Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

You are equating Christian behavior with the outrageous behavior of the LGBT crowd against Christians?> And what behavior might that be? You mean daring to insist on our First Amendment rights to obey our conscience? The only thing lower than whale excrement here is that evil opinion. So apparently it is possible to be vile while expressing my first amendment rights. I agree that such a thing is possible. Similarly the fact that people saying vile things to homosexuals is protected speech is no argument that their behavior is not vile. Here is some more protected speech. You are just a thug. Or at least you would be if you had access to any gay people and if you actually owned a business. Fortunately you are harmless.Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him. Galileo Galilei If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. Frederick Douglass

Any court that denies the rights of the people who object to gay marriage is sick, evil and unconstitutional, I don't care which court it is, why should I? It all ends up at the Supreme Court ultimately.
Although there is one amazingly reasonable court that recently upheld the bans in four states, the Sixth District Circuit Court, that pointed out among other things that the opposition to gay marriage has historical roots that deserve respect. Hooray, some actual concern for the Constitution and the rule of the majority in a growing morass of illegality in the service of sheer evil. Of course the Supreme Court will eventually get the chance to strike down the sanity with their insanity. I wonder what the chances are that they might actually obey the Constitution? I'll be praying.

How about the 1994 fire-bombing of the Kalispell clinic ?
Her clinic was firebombed in 1994 and forced to shut down for five months. A Washington man named Richard Andrews was convicted of firebombing it, and seven other clinics in four states that provided abortions, including ones in Missoula and Helena.
And we know who did that. He admitted it in court.

So much tit for tatting around here you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Where's your evidence that those you object to are the thugs rather than the LGBT crowd? There is none, as jar just demonstrated in spite of himself. Nothing I've ever said makes me a proponent of violence, that's your projection, just a nasty smear tactic.

That is the same clinic jar evidenced, the only one example that actually is evidence for his claims. And your example, which may or may not be a different case I don't know, is of ONE man's criminal behavior, but you like to smear the thousands of peaceful protestors with that one unrepresentative person. The prolife movement has been in operation for decades now, the LGBT violence just started, give it time it will far outstrip anything you could possibly claim for the prolifers.

quote: They have no right to institute laws discriminating against gays. Gays DO have the right to equal treatment, and that argues for legalisation of gay marriage for reasons already given.
quote: So you think it's all right to call people "sick" and "evil" for something that they haven't done.
