While the complaint about not having a protractor is pretty silly, Faith has already said she does not have space to set up the kit. She made the reasons for that sound personal, so I'm not inclined to question her any further on that. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him. Galileo Galilei If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. Frederick Douglass

As I can recall, a few posters used to express this sentiment in their signatures. It is indeed a strange mindset. All of the power of almighty to draw on, and yet many Flood proponents are loathe to invoke it, instead inventing snow comets and the like. Mindspawn, for example, refused to answer the question of whether God even caused the flood. He insisted that the flood happened naturally and that despite God having pre-announced what would happened, and the reason for it happening, spawny claimed that scripture did not answer that question. Quite bizarre in my opinion. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Funny? What it illustrates is the utter contempt she has for others. Nothing is too stupid to post. Nothing stated as fact need be checked, and no point can ever be refuted so thoroughly that it cannot be resurrected later. Funny. Isn't that your job? Nobody really cares what you call the wave. It is your physics that has people disgusted. We have thought about what you claim and it does not work. Real layers exist because they form and harden and thus are relatively undisturbed during the process that forms a layer on top of them. You are trying to form layers without allowing any formation time between them. That is the problem with trying to form huge numbers of layers in a few months. Is that clear enough for you? Actually, while I have given an answer to this question, I have failed to acknowledge the difference between your asking a question and simply making up crap and flinging it at us and then ignoring all rebuttals. This is infinitely preferable. But sorry, I don't have an answer for you. If I were in this position, I'd invoke the same kind of power that parted the Red Sea or that created the universe in one week. Hilarious. Right now, even you cannot make your goofy ideas work and have decided to ask me and others to do it. Nobody can make the logic defying things you say actually work. I don't know how to find where she says that, but I think it funny that the one place on the EvC Forums that she has not found to tell me that I don't understand her position on evolution is in a response to my post asking her to explain her position in more detail. Of course, such a request understandably frustrates her. Faith does not have any details despite her claims to have spent a decade thinking about why evolution does not work, and she has no idea how to defend her position other than to make assertions that can be disproved without effort. Percy calls that kind of thinking "Indomitable will". I'm being a gentleman today so 'm calling it that too. Edited by NoNukes, : No reason given. Hmm. I was anticipating something of greater scope. Something like her declaration that because she had spent a long time thinking about why evolution was impossible she was not going to even consider alternatives until we had thought for a long time on her ideas. She does not have to reconcile anything. You (and I) just don't understand how she has been right all along. Ultimately being right means that the Flood created the Grand Canyon and all of its details in some period lasting between 10 seconds and ten months after it started raining for 40 days and nights and the fountains of the deep opened. Missteps about exactly how that can be explained are just teats on a bull. And instead of thinking of yourself as a peer arguing with another peer on an internet forum, imagine yourself as a middle school student in Faith's Sunday school class who is rejecting this Sunday's lesson about a T-Rex and a triceratops being buddies in the Garden of Eden. I think that about captures the mindset I'm seeing from Faith. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. If we are honest, we will admit that religion is not unique in this regard. If you hang out for a while in the forums where religious belief is not the topic, you will see examples of other strongly held belief systems interfering with logical thought. And if you are very careful and objective, you will recognize those forces at work within yourself. Everybody is a Creationist about some topic. Quite frankly, I'm not even sure religion is the most egregious belief in this respect. I think it is just the most notorious. Edited by NoNukes, : No reason given. Typical, and fraudulent Faith blather. "I'm right, and you'd see it if you just think." You must be about the worst lecturer in the history of science. Or perhaps there is another explanation. How about the demonstration of hypocrisy from you? On one hand you denigrate biology and geological science as mere 'mental activity', and then you think that just pondering on your made up nonsense ought to be convincing? Assuming that is your only error (and it is not), why do you then blame me for it. Yes you do sometimes point to features as part of weaving your story, but when contradictory evidence is pointed out, what we expect is to see you address it rather than to tell us to think harder.
