Re: Personal Destiny
I don't buy into it myself.

I believe (coming from a Christian's perspective) that the only person who is actually that mature is Jesus Himself, and God, if you consider Him to be a "person."

In other words, there are only two Roosters in the Universe. God and Jesus.

Destiny is love
I too believe in destiny, for everybody and everything.....

....as determined by the initial conditions of their constituent particles and the least action principle up to quantum mechanical fluctuations.

Re: Destiny is love
Provided that we still hold them accountable for their actions......but then, that holding to account also is pre-determined, at the level you're talking about - so that's ok :-)

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

The very fact that you are asking, "How do I find out what my destiny is," shows youthful ignorance.

Asking questions is a sign of ignorance? surely that's the way to end ignorance
(Oh, and it's a long time since I've been called "Youthful".. thanksl")

It's instinctive, and requires lots of belief not just in God, but in oneself. You have to believe that you are meant for something. If you believe that, you will discover your destiny, or purpose, easily.

from this I take it you know your destiny? care to share?

As far as deciding whether or not you have fulfilled your destiny, you don't. Again, youthful ignorance. It's just something that you feel

ah, I see, so it's totally subjective and unverifiable.

It's like asking, "How does one breathe?" or "How do I decide if whether or not I have exhaled oxygen out of my lungs?"

bad examples. both of these are easily answerable.

Does someone somewhere have a list? Yes. It's God. But that's coming from a Christian's viewpoint.

This is why I have been asking you to differentiate between "something that we as humans use our own logic and reason to determine the path that makes the most sense for us based on previous experience and lessons" when compared with "something that someone else planned for you, regardless of whether or not you will attain it."

So like, I actually believe the latter. God Himself, in my opinion, determines what we should do. And then, either we do what we should do, thereby fulfilling our destinies, or we don't, thereby not fulfilling and ending up becoming miserable losers.

I think this is good, you know what you believe, and you're moving in that direction.
I think this is a healthy aspect for you.

My point is that this is a healthy aspect for you.
There's nothing that points to this as an objectively better way to go over any other possible path.

Not all humans are the same. Perhaps Tempe's "former" position is better for someone else... not believing in God but instead looking around us and understanding the environment we can interact with.

I only ask that you allow others the same freedom that's working so well for you... to use their own best judgment of self-reflection to choose whatever path is best for them.

If you simply say that your choice is best for you, you will find a lot of support.
If you try to move into the territory of claiming that your choice is best for other people as well... you'll need some actual, objective evidence to back that up. Your word or say-so just isn't good enough for other people, and it shouldn't be... that would be equivalent to them taking your path just because you said so instead of using self-reflection in order to find the path that best aligns with who they are on the inside. Which we know has a high likelihood of leaving them "unfulfilled."

I know it's their destiny because I'm a True Christian, and people who are in my level of enlightenment can see the Matrix.

You won't understand until you get at least close to our level.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, moved on.

(There's a trap door in the ceiling. When you climb up to that level of enlightenment you'll see how empty "True Christianity" is.)

Every person who is alive does have a destiny, and that destiny is death.

Looks like there is only One Rooster in this Universe.(Probably in all of the multiverses as well)
