It's way too early for thinking about the election. But it is not too early for the awesome. There's already a plentiful supply.

There are plenty of people that would like to see third parties be viable on both ends of the spectrum, and developing a way to break the two party system would seem popular.

Yes, the Australian system is the one that I had in mind. It works pretty well. Unfortunately, politicians are unlikely to implement it, since it would probably end the careers of many of them.

You are over-interpreting. If Hillary doesn't start winning some actual primaries, then her campaign will fail. Super delegates cannot make up for a record of losing.

Torture is evil, and not merely wrong. As to whether Trump is evil -- that, I do not know. He might just be playing fundamentalists for fools (and doing so very effectively).

There is another possibility. Trump is trolling the Republican Party to give Hillary an easy win.
I doubt it. Trump's campaign is all about Trump. He doesn't give a damn about Hillary or you or me or anybody else.
