I think it's more likely she's angling for the VP slot.

Re: Bundy Bozos and government sharks
If this is the caliber of individuals camping out up there, I'm concerned about their mental health.
"LaVoy Finicum, one of the known occupants of the weeklong Malheur Wildlife Refuge standoff in Oregon, turns out to be a novelist.
Finicum's 241-page apocalyptic cowboy thriller titled "Only By Blood and Suffering" is a how-to on surviving after a electromagnetic pulse or nuclear attack when your Escalade stops driving, the government has bought back all of your guns, President Bill Clinton signed away your country's missile technology to the Chinese, the Supreme Court is loaded with lefty judicial activists and you don't have an adequate amount of gold and "junk silver" to get by when the stock market implodes, interest rates balloon overnight and the value of the dollar collapses."
Also, it seems "the book also alludes to a third party — the Independent American Party— which emerges to fill the void felt by Libertarians and tea party voters. A party of the same name, which has been linked to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, actually does exist."
Sounds like a page-turner.

Re: They are dropping like flies
Interestingly, Rand Paul got more votes than Bush yet he still dropped out.
He's got to defend his senate seat. It'd be great to put a democrat in that position, but I think he has a challenger in the primary.
Bush doesn't have anything better to do, apparently.

Re: immigration and incarceration
CROSSING THE BORDER ILLEGALLY DOESN'T NEED TO GO TO TRIAL, IT IS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.
Federal immigration law says that unlawful presence in the country is a civil offense and is, therefore, not a crime. The punishment is deportation. However, some stateslike Arizonahave criminalized an immigrant’s mere presence.
Immigration Myths | Learning for Justice
Faith, why don't you research your proclamations of criminality before you preach? All through this discussion you've spouted off without knowing what you are writing about. This is another example of this tendency of yours.
Really, you like looking this silly?

Re: immigration and incarceration
Good thing you're not a lawyer. Sad that you're so wrapped up in your own righteousness you can't listen to reason.

Re: Topic Reminder
Why is Trump so appealing?
I think the Trumpeters are seeing in him whatever they want to see - I don't think the right-wing bubble media has drilled down enough, yet, to open their eyes to his double-talk.
I heard a bit on the radio this morning, a call-in talk show out of LA that features two right-wingers & a token liberal. A 75 yr. old man called in, a self proclaimed Republican, who talked up Trump. The two conservatives then laid into this poor old guy, spending several minutes vetting Trump to him with facts. I don't think that's a good way to persuade these Trump voters, hammering on them 'Gish-gallop" fashion.
I remember the big talking point about Obama, during both of his election cycles, was the media's unwillingness to vet him. The conservative buzz was, his supporters don't know the 'real' Obama. If they did, they wouldn't vote for him. I think that's what the conservatives/establishment against Trump need to do now.

Re: Nobody to vote for
By the time the primaries roll around to me, I'm betting the Dems will already have decided who's going up against Trump in the general election.
Since our primaries are now open, I'll guess I'll cast a fuck 'em vote for the presidency. And nobody ever goes up against my House rep, so I guess it's just the senate seat I'll have to cast a real vote.

but then I don't claim to be up on it all
Respectfully Faith, everyone discussing the election on this thread is 'up on it all' except you. May I ask you to get 'up on it all' before you come here to discuss the candidates & their actions?
It makes it more enjoyable for the rest of us.
Thanks.
