To understand and identify the chariots of God we must consult scripture. I will be using scripture from the Holy Bible.
2 Corinthians 4:18. while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Artist rendition of Ezekiel's Vision of God (based on scripture).
What you are looking at above appearing before Ezekiel, a beloved prophet of the Holy Bible, is Father God on His throne, Cherubim (living creatures), and what Ezekiel describes as "a wheel in the middle of a wheel" - this is an orbital description of a great living chariot of God.
Excerpt from, "Ezekiel's Vision of God" -
Ezekiel 1:15-21. Now as I look at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with it's four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. As for the rims, they were so high they were awesome, and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them. When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went, and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When those went, these went, when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
Below is a photograph of a spirit in one of the many small chariots of God.
Ezekiel 1:21. "for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels."
..................."for the spirit of the living creature is in the orb."
Ezekiel 1:19. "and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up."
..................."and when the living creature was lifted up from the earth, the orb was lifted up."
The many chariots of God are the living works of the Holy Spirit.
Here is a video of a spirit flying in one the many small chariots of God.
The photograph that I have presented is commonly known as a spirit orb. The chariot would have appeared as much more being with Father God and the Seraphim. Can you see the spirit in what I believe to be a chariot of God? I have seen spirits in these chariots myself with my naked eyes.
As you can probably tell the membership here tends toward the skeptical side. Even the spiritualist and religionist among us carry a good dose of skepticism into threads like this one. But, do stay with us, pull up a seat and explore with us.
First, I do like that artist’s drawing. Vividly imaginative, colorful and well rendered. I hadn’t seen that before. Do you have any information on the artist? Maybe some other works he/she has done?
The photo is, well, suspect. Until you can provide some additional information I’ll see this as yet another of those optical artifacts with which we are all very familiar. The experienced photographers tell us these are often artifacts manifested from lens, light, angle and reflection. Very common, and as you have in yours, quite colorful. Even pretty.
Where did you get this image? What is the history behind the photo? Knowing that such things happen in photos very frequently, what brings you to say this is not one of those common artifacts? Of course, the more details that you can provide and that we can verify the better.
Please forgive Theodoric. He’s probably right (he usually is) but until we all get to know each other better what say we let that one post slide for now.
It also seems quite obvious to me that the posted picture has been cropped from a larger picture. I'd like to see the larger picture, with the "wheel" in its original context.

It has always struck me as odd that fundies devote so much time and effort into trying to find a naturalistic explanation for their mythical flood, while looking for magical explanations for things that actually happened. -- Dr. Adequate

We have a bit of an issue here at EvC with message subtitles. No one seems to want to change one. A thread can go hundreds of messages with the same subtitle, though, of course, the topic has crept well beyond what the subtitle would indicate.
I try to remedy this when I remember to do so. The subtitles I create can be, well, creative. Others would term them off-the-wall. Still others wouldn't be so kind.
Yes, I understand your reference but I think "Chariots of Fire" is rather apropos. It has that twist to it. Regardless.
Extending our vision beyond mere dust, many believe that it is an "angel orb". Others, including myself believe that it is of a real supernatural spiritual entity. I believe that this photograph is a far lesser form of Ezekiel's wheels, described by the early Jewish Merkabah mystics as a chariot of God. I believe it to be unwise to diminish the value of a photograph which may support Ezekiel's Vision of God.
