I think the former. But that's just me.

Re: Republicans To Battle Trump
I asked Cortina to play me "are friends electric" and she found me this video on you tube.
After it played I said, "Did you like that song Cortina?"
To which she responded: " I don't have a opinion."
I then said, "Shut up Cortina."
She reponded with: "I have been programmed to have the last word." The future is here!!

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
1.25 USD adjusted for inflation from 1981 is around 2.83 USD.
So gas is about 1.58 more per gallon today than it was in 1981 give or take a few cents.

I agree, Bernie is reaching lots of non voting couch locked pot smokers that are not getting registered or out to the polls.
Ok maybe that is a exaggeration.
I think Hillary is the consummate politician though. She has been in this dog and pony show before and she has had years to raise money and plan campaigning strategies. She is going to be tough to beat. I just do not see a old angry white social revolutionist getting enough people fired up to cast enough ballots in his direction. Hillary is the establishment front runner and she seems to be the media and the Party's anointed one. I voted for Bernie and will of course vote for him if he somehow pulls a hat trick. But I am not going to count on it. The winds of change are blowing, but they are correcting in a El Nino familiar pattern of business as usual.
Big Banks, Oil, War the triumvirate of US policy are beckoning Hillary.

Dont harsh my buzz
It seems to me the more "conservative" someone is the more concerned they are with ramming their brand of beliefs and politics into your life.
The more liberal someone is the more they are less likely to not like that.

Re: Dont harsh my buzz
I was intimidated into sitting it out. I was shaking when I left). And my experience of the left from that point on was that they were extremely aggressive about ramming their self-righteous views down everybody else's throat.
Sorry that happened to you. You have a point, it is a double edged sword. But there is a old saying: "Dont start nuttn wont be nuttn."
Malcolm X was famous for saying:
quote:
"If you stick a knife nine inches into my back and pull it out three inches, that is not progress. Even if you pull it all the way out, that is not progress. Progress is healing the wound, and America hasn't even begun to pull out the knife."
Conservatism in America has somehow slipped so far right it has dragged the moderates into wingnut territory. The Supreme court has come out and said that people who love each other can get married. What is so wrong with that? Well of course your bible tells you that is a abomination if they are of the same sex. But there are many people who do not ascribe to that notion. So should they have to forgo all the rights of marriage because there are some Americans have decided they are not worthy to live the lives they wish to? Should a person who has undergone sexual reassignment be forced to use a bathroom of the opposite sex because it is again somehow upsetting conservatives? For example: A conservative lady such as yourself want a transgender person, who has woman genitalia,to be forced to use a mans bathroom and go through the embarrassment and humiliation because they have some compelling urge to go in a female bathroom and get a peek at your naughty bits? Umm Please.
Faith writes:
But thanks to the infiltration of Cultural Marxism and its Political Correctness, which is nothing but ramming leftism down our throats, the country has become polarized in a very unhealthy way. I don't see a way out of it myself.
Again don't start nuttn wont be nuttn. Political correctness is a stupid word invented by conservatives. Liberals just call it not being a asshole imo.

A quick preview of who will not be voting for Trump.
Hispanics
Catholics
women
African Americans
Millennials
Moderates
Who will vote for Trump:
Off the Reservation Tea Party
Republican wingnuts
Bubba
He has no choice but to broaden his appeal to other voters or face losing. Hillary will roast him in the debates without even firing a neuron.
Trump will now emerge from his cocoon metamorphosis as
the new Tolerant Fair Sensitive Trump v2.0
Kinda like Romney bot v2.0 after the primaries last election cycle
where he pretty much abandoned every bit of base pandering to broaden his appeal.

Re: Cruz Is Out
Hi nwr,
Yep. But he will do it.
He listens to what the polished knowledgeable political adviser tell him to do........and then he does the exact opposite. IT HAS BEEN WORKING. But now he may actually need to listen to some greasy politicians to gain a broader appeal.
Are American voters that niave? That stoooooopid?
I honestly believe that many Americans would vote for any reality TV star if they were on a ticket. Because the GOP has soured their own voter block with fecklessness and obstructiveness.
Trump is the Monster to the GOP's Dr. Frankenstein. They created him and tried to destroy him and now he is coming home to daddy.
I can't imagine Trump shedding his sophomoric racist misogynist image to the point where it will fool anyone. But this is Merika
