Re: Creation
What there is no such thing as...now has no bearing on what things exist in the future or the far past.

Re: Creation
"In the passages from Job and Psalms it is applied to supernatural beings or angels. In Job the "sons of God" are represented as appearing before the throne of Yahweh in heaven, ready to do Him service, and as shouting for joy at the creation of the earth, In the Psalms they are summoned to celebrate the glory of Yahweh, for there is none among them to be compared to Him. The phrase in these passages has no physical or moral reference. These heavenly beings are called "sons of God" or "sons of the 'elohim" simply as belonging to the same class or guild as the 'elohim, just as "sons of the prophets" denotes those who belong to the prophetic order (see A.B. Davidson, Commentary on Job 1:6)." Sons Of God - International Standard Bible Encyclopedia

Since you have no clue either way, I would not value your hunches.

Re: Creation
If we assumed nature was the same you might have a point. Too bad you need a reason to do so. Got any?

Re: Creation
Science claims nature was the same, it needs a reason.

Re: Creation
As much as you may chose to believe his hunches, he has NO evidence of any same nature in the past. When it comes to beliefs about creation, I suppose I expect so called believers of the bible to side with creation. Otherwise I know they are impostors.

Re: Creation
If there was water and land together, and then it was separated, we were left with land as well as water. I have no reason to doubt that in the beginning a large land mass existed that later broke apart.

Re: Creation
I think the battle is spiritual, and against lies and anything that opposes and exalts itself against God and His word. Not against people...flesh and blood. Science has evidence that there once was a large land mass...not on why and exactly how it separated.

Re: Creation
Semantics game eh? Whatever you like to call it that existed after creation eventually broke up.

Re: Creation
Or...we could spin a ball covered in frozen chocolate real fast suddenly, and see if it fractures...and maybe see if we get a pattern like the mid ocean ridges where it separates...or...we could..etc etc. Why would we imagine your belief based scenarios? Since evolving/changing happened fast in the former times/nature, we should view the changes that happened as gifts of adaptability from God in a former nature where it happened fast. (not as some insane godless freakfest that happened slowly in this current nature, and started from pond slime or thermal vent sludge, or comet crud!) Edited by creation, : No reason given.

Re: Creation
How would we know the mechanism that started the plates moving? Have you forgotten that the theories of plate tectonics have only guessed?

Glad you admitted that! You only look at and go by present processes!
