Faith, all those landscapes that we see in the strata now are here today. Look at the Sahara- it will be (maybe) like the Navajo sandstone complete with footprints and an occasional camel fossil.A mile from me is a pond. Slowly it is silting up as it is a low spot in the landscape. With luck it will be siltstone or mudstone someday complete with beaver, duck and turtle fossils.I look at the local mountains. They will mostly not be a strata where they site. They are wearing down every year and may complete turn into marine sediments and strata in the arm of the Salish sea that is between me and them. Maybe some will remain and be engulfed in other sediments as has been described to you.I look on the horizon and see a volcano. It has erupted in the past and will again. On the lava and ash from it trees grow. Eventually they will be embedded in the next ash fall or flooding from the Fraser river.Around our airport there is a river delta. It has been lived on while it built up from millenia (after the ice left). There are hundreds of feet of muck there that will be another strata of rock someday.Each of these is on it's way to being stata (rock) but right now it is a fine place to live. Of course, the biggest place making future strata is the bottom of the sea which is BIG and getting lots and lots of stuff dumped down there which piles up to make rock.

If the sediment is full of marine life and it has water on it doesn't that make it a "seafloor"?Edited by NosyNed, : fixed tags

You are using big words like lithified etc. Simpler yet is needed.

People seem to be jumping all over when answering you. Maybe if we slow down and go step by step.First: Look around you.
All everyone is proposing is that at every time things were happening just like the are today.
The Mississippi is dumping feet of sand, slit and mud every year. But clams, crayfish and the like can still live there. The deserts of the south west are sand (which you said is uninhabitable) but I have been there and the are many, many kinds of plants and animals living there. The sand moves and burys some and uncovers others but they survice while this is going on. The ooze at the seabottom which you said is uninhabitable has lots of things living on and in it (not so many as the Amazon rain forest but lots still).
The Rockies are eroding and spreading material into the foothills and prairies.
Rarely (on a human scale) a volcano blankets the land with ash (as Mt. St. Helens did) but within days some things are alive there and in weeks, months and years life carries on. Lava flows over parts of Hawaii but these rocks make excellent, fertile places for plants to grow over the years. Even these events don't kill everything.
Those processes are exactly the same thing that everyone is proposing has been going on around the dinosaurs and everything else that has lived.
The slow piling up of soil that gets inches, then feet then 10's of feet deep doesn't interfere with things living on now and it never did.
So no one understands what you imagine was happening that makes it all so impossible.

But isn't Faith here arguing that what science says is impossible? That is, not supporting the bible but rather saying it is right if science's idea can't work.

Her hips allow her to stand upright (as well as other leg parts). Only our lineage has that. Hers are not as advanced as the genus homo is though. They were found together. Why would you think otherwise? Also they fit. She has the characteristics allocated to the genus. In fact, she might be the type specimen (the one used as the defining example) but I am not sure. Exactly what facts have you found in the strata? What you know is a close approximation to zero. You have never examined anything yourself and you have never studied an iota of geology from texts.
