The 2016 United States Presidential Election

With the closest people in my life undocumented immigrants and LGBTQ+, the effects of the election result will be all-too real. Sux.

Taken together, most of my friends and the people closest to me are undocumented immigrants, LGBTQ, and people of color. So it's a particularly despondent day here.Trump's ascendancy to the presidency and the Republican control of -- well, just about everything in D.C. -- means day-to-day liberties enjoyed under the Obama administration are now wholly threatened. If you're a PoC, LGBTQ, undocumented, Muslim, or a woman, last night's negative consequences are real -- and severe. The alt-right is now much more emboldened, so it makes it a scary time to actually walk the streets of a country where we're supposed to feel some level of safety.Blegh.

Fascist nonsense. The reason undocumented immigrants are in the U.S. is because of the U.S.'s violence and oppression against Latin America beginning in the 19th century and continuing onto the Cold War and the current "War on Drugs."You've always shown your true colors, Faith, so we've always known that you're not an actual Christian in the Jesus Christ sense -- but here you are, confirming it once again.

I don't give a damn about immoral laws. Ever heard of Jim Crow laws? Of slavery? Of the criminality of Judaism under the Nazi regime? Maybe once the U.S. stops its genocide, its oppression, and its violence we can talk about legality like it's the main concern here.

Well, to be fair, the people who voted for Trump -- they aren't the best and brightest citizens America has to offer. They're ignorant bigots. They're homophobes and racists. They're misogynistic reactionaries.And some, I assume, are good people.
