CNN (and the NYT and Reuters and everyone else) reports that the FBI is reviewing new emails in Clinton classified information probe. The FBI provided this information:

Leaving one to wonder:
Why hasn't the FBI mentioned anything about their investigations of Trump's teams ties to Russia in general and Putin in particular? Let's not pretend that they're not investigating that. Why is it only Clinton that gets the FBI talking?Rrhain Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time. The emails are not from Clinton. And Anthony Weiner is back in the news ... But they are about how the Clinton machine shook down donors to the foundation for the enrichment of the Clintons (Bill Inc). They are about skirting the laws and not following the intent of the agreement with Obama.. They demonstrate character flaws similar to what we see in Trump's use of his position (such as his "charity"), he was just more blatant about it. by our ability to understand Rebel☮American☆Zen☯Deist ... to learn ... to think ... to live ... to laugh ... to share. Why is it only Clinton that gets the FBI talking? (Or the press reporting on it) Interesting question. Trump will be in court in November on fraud charges (Trump U iirc) and in December on Child Statutory Rape charges, but there is little noise about this as well. There was a facebook post that claimed Comey was trying to bias the election towards Trump. I can't find it now but did find these:Update Your Browser | Facebook Agreed that facebook is next to worthless for valid information because people post opinion more than fact. Could it be that Comey is a lifelong republican who served in the Bush Whitehouse? RAZD writes: The emails are not from Clinton. ... But they are about how the Clinton machine shook down donors to the foundation for the enrichment of the Clintons (Bill Inc). They are about skirting the laws and not following the intent of the agreement with Obama. Just to be clear, you cannot be referring to the emails that were the subject of FBI Director James Comey's Friday letter to Congress. It isn't yet known what is in those emails, or even why they're relevant. I don't think we can say we know the emails were not from Hillary. This is the text of Comey's letter, and it doesn't say anything about who the emails are from or to, nor anything about their content. It only says that the emails "appear to be pertinent to the investigation":
quote: The information that the emails were not from Hillary comes from a news report described here in this Slate article:

Does anyone in Washington just go about their lives and work activities without getting involved in intrigue? Apparently not. It seems the political arena is filled with individuals that seem to have no issues bending (or breaking) the rules for their own purposes. Which kind of begs the question: is the label 'Crooked Hillary' even warranted? When it comes to politicians, it almost seems like the word 'crooked' is redundant.

Well if Donald Trumps is elected in response to this recent FBI probe and it turns out to be benign I am gonna be pissed.
I am no fan of Hillary Clinton but I sure as hell do not *want Donald J. Trump setting one foot in the white house. Not because he is a baffoon, not because he is arrogant. It is because he is immature and malicious and could in my opinion cause harm to our country. I joked once about being a accelerationist and wanting the current crop of repubs to once and for all have their way and get the "car keys" back so that the country could once and for all see the abject insanity of GOP as it follows it's base further and further to the fringe. Well holy crap even Republicans are like: "what have we done?"

Well holy crap even Republicans are like: "what have we done?" That's what happens when you create a monster; don't be surprised when you develop buyers remorse. Endless years of rhetoric on how the country is going to hell, how immigrants are flooding across our borders, how the president is illegitimate. All of that manifested into Trump. And Republicans are somehow shocked about this? What the hell did they think would happen? I know the founding fathers gave us the right to free speech. But I think even they assumed that one would at least leverage some of their brain cells when they exercised that right.

Trump, the GOP, and the Fall | Whatever
It is a thesis I have been putting forward for over a year. The GOP made this happen.

You've been drinking too much of the Trump Kool Aid. An interesting indictment considering I'm not a Trump supporter. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend applies here. I know it's so easy to pawn everything off as a "vast rightwing conspiracy," or Clinton's latest scapegoat to pass it off on "Russian hackers," but there are so many instances of improprieties on her part that it's beyond refute at this point. She's a crook, she's a megalomaniac, and she will play a huge role in World War III breaking out if elected. "Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it" -- Thomas Paine

Not me. I got a huge bonus because we could finish the contract ahead of schedule and then started another job. Getting paid for two contracts simultaneously. e-mails. Data. Reports. Publications. The works. All due to efficient communication systems. Private servers tend to work more reliably than the others. So you are harboring classified material on your private server(s)? Is that what you are telling me? Because it could also be true that certain South African authorities might not be aware of this... in which case, that would be the reason you haven't been charged, not that it's necessarily not that big of a deal.
