The problem isn't that conflicts like this abound. It's that Trump doesn't care. He'll have to be forcibly separated from entanglements like this (which likely abound) in the courts. As Trump would tweet, "Sad." Yeah, if I inhereted 3 million USD or could get a 3 million USD interest free loan from my parents 20 or 30 years ago; I really wouldn't care what happened today. He's never had to work one day in his life. To me it is sad that anyone who got that could say anything like he's 'working' for workers. Edited by Pressie, : No reason given. Hey, I think that Ikea would be quite pissed off with that. Next time you buy something from them anywhere in the world, they will make sure that you only get 754 578 V's!

After all of this, it seems as if some members of the current Chinese Government do have a better grasp of reality than the current US President. The US is rapidly loosing it's dominance. Volunteerily. It's mind-boggling.

I like the Don. I don't get the Don, at all. Impulsive, etc. He's funny, though.
At least he gave me some insentive to take a few Mandarin classes. I have to understand how the next superpower will work when those guys talk amongst themselves. I admit that, for me, that education will take quite a few years. I'm still struggling to get the Amcan sense of humour after 40 years. I don't get The Don or The Bushy humour, at all... Or, like in my case, I used to see America as a beacon of hope. After Trump I look at other countries for more rational and coherent policies.
History shows empires and superpowers and all that have limited time spans. Some last longer than others. The US is rapidly on it's way out. Edited by Pressie, : No reason given. Edited by Pressie, : No reason given.

I'm rooting for Angela. She would keep the fever down.

Thanks for this. The organisation I work for signed an agreement with some Pakistani agency to do exploration very close to the Afghan border. Pay is very good; but while the Pres. of the US threatens people I don't think I'm going to participate in the project. I don't want to be a victim of collateral damage.

Do you have any pointers or suggestions on how you would equip the public to sift through the mass glut and deluge of information, opinion, and written news that we see every day?

Percy writes: Of course they are going to go away. All those ex-coal miners in Penn are going to die off eventually. Whether they believe in coal being the best or not. Coal is just getting too expensive to be profitable. Other forms of energy are getting cheaper. Trump has a base of voters who look at what is going on in the White House and think everything's normal. They are mainly to blame, but they are not going away. And this comes from a coal geologist. My occupation is on it's way out. Better start training for something else...

I don't know much about Nafta, but in my country lots of people working in the coal industry lost their jobs. Coal mining just can't compete with other forms of energy. The easy coal reserves have been mined out. Coal mining is too expensive nowadays. Other forms of sources of energy are cheaper.

Please spare us from having to witness that. Those 71-year old testicles covered in orange hair dangling between the knees...gravity sucks.

To me the funniest one yet is Trump wanting to change the libel laws in the US (very difficult to change). He's the Am President who's lied the most about people, ever. Does he even realise that if he manages to to do it he would be the first one serving many years in some penetentiary, or has to pay more than the 7 billion he claimed to have?

I don't kow much about politics; but I do know that The US lost a lot of credibility since Trump became President. The Chinese are really starting to look like the dominant Superpower; both economically and diplomatically.
Their military might can't easily be discarded either. Edited by Pressie, : No reason given.

Exactly. One better system would be when state representatives would be compelled to vote for the candidate getting the national majority for a Federal President. That would be democratic.
