It's a partial list of things that elicit blank stares from anyone under about 50 today.
I'm 39:
The name of Tom Mix horse.

-I know that this is a reference to some old thing, but before reading Phat's reply that it's a Country Song... I'm not sure if I would have connected that specifically or not.
That it's always 5 o'clock somewhere.
-to me, this is a comedic reference to it being okay to drink in the morning (or anytime)
-my guess is that it's from an old song or movie pop-culture thing
That you can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish.
-I'd never be able to say who, but my guess would be that this is some comedy line from an older comedian like Johnny Carson or something like that.
Why there was a baby face on the bottle.
?
Mississippi John Hurt.
?
When the Cuyahoga River caught fire.
?
A B-9 Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot said ...?

I'm old enough to know who Tom Mix was in the same way as you're old enough to know who John Wayne was.
What a Church Key is.
Google "paint can opener". That's a bottle opener on the other end. Looks like an old-fashioned key, doesn't it? I have one of those that I got from my dad.
That "Frankie & Johnny were lovers" is not about a same sex marriage.
"HE was HER man and HE done HER wrong."
That you can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish.
In Canada we just call it "tuna". We assume it isn't "tuna horse".
