Re: the problem
Here's an example of the problem: how do I prove that the remarks Trump has made that are called racist aren't in fact racist? I know they are not, yes I know it, but the spin is very convincing to some
You cannot prove it just by saying that you know it. What you would do instead is offer an argument for your position. Your argument might include an explanation of why the examples of racism others present are not racism, examples of things he has done that indicate that he is not racist, and arguments that he did not do the racist things.
Of course, you might expect rebuttals of your arguments. You could try to rebut the rebuttals. I would expect that if the discussion ever got that far, you'd have long since returned to just calling us Liberal Nazi fascists and claiming that we were trying to shut you up using Maoist tactics.
So it is probably not worth the trouble of going through all of that. Just do you.

Re: the problem
It's not worth it.
I know. That begs the question of why you are here posting in debate forums when debating is not what you care to do. Wouldn't you be happier exchanging words with like-minded people who already believe exactly as you do?

Re: the problem
For reasons I believe I've given clearly enough, I'm content if I can simply state my opinion to get it on the table.
Based on your whining about your reception, we know that you are not content. But why start a whole new thread if you don't really want to discuss anything? You could have posted this stuff to one of the existing threads.

He believed it based on what exactly, Faith?

Re: the problem
There was a time when it was considered civilized to treat another's very different opinion with some respect. But the world has been getting less civilized by the minute it seems lately.
Spewing out things like "Liberal Nazi" surely aren't examples of civilized discussion. You are not here to debate or discuss. You are here to state your position and then complain about not having your words accepted as truth.
How about just a little bit of introspection/ Maybe once in every 10 threads you start?

Re: the problem
No, you are not just giving facts; your whole method is to twist what Trump says into something else, something sleazy of course (he doesn't care about feasibility, only appealing to his base;
Do you have any arguments. Is your only contribution assertions and indignation? Everybody else here can assert facts backed up by sources. And all you can do is rattle off a conspiracy theory.
Why isn't there a single conservative poster who can make a case for Trump being right without resorting to little more than making assertions and claiming that every source that documents Trump's worst statements are all wrong.
I can make a case for Trump having a toxic agenda just by quoting Trump's own statements. I can also defend that case against your accusations of misquoting. But it never comes to that because all you ever do is assert and whine.

Re: the problem
This is character assassination, typical of the left and only too familiar at EvC.
Folks who attack character are supposed to back up they say. Their defenders ought be about addressing facts instead of making assertions.
Part of the discussion here is about Trump's character. If you don't believe that to be important, that's one thing. I happen to think that the president's character is worth discussing.
Do you have any facts? Are you ready to deal in a fact based discussion about Trump's character, or do you want to just complain?

Re: the problem
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR TWISTING A PERSON'S WORDS. THAT IS LYING PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Make your case. With facts. No need to shout.
