Congress is responsible for taxation. All of those reasons could affect future legislation. THe legal precedents clearly show that the possibility of legislation, whether or not anyone has any in mind, is sufficient.

But our legal system still works. Most judges try to avoid bias. I think some decisions (Citizens United) are stupid and do great harm to our Constitutional system. But as of now they're the law and there's no avoiding it.

I don't trust the laws you quote, I suspect you are leaving out some important qualifier and that sort of thing. What has been done to Trump over the last two years is just unconscionable and anyone who thinks it justified does not get any trust from me. So I'm waiting. Any court decision forwarded from the left is suspect, just as everything the left has been doing for the last two and a half years is disgustingly political third world style destructive anti-American anticonstitutional lies and fake news and just plain evil. Congress is asking for things he is not required to give them. That is also a lie. Any American, including Trump, is subject to having their IRS returns sent to Congress. That is within the powers of Congress, and Trump is trying to destroy the separation of powers.
