That's the first question. What kind of excuse for a question is that? "Would you welcome?" Who cares what he would "welcome?" What does that have to do with the legal questions?

Probably earlier in the session, before Representative Swalwell had the floor, Mr. Castor, the Republican lawyer, had stated that reviewing 8000 documents would represent a significant burden for House staff. Representative Swalwell's question to Mr. Goldman, the Democratic lawyer, was likely just a followup to that.

impeachment is not a criminal matter, which is what the Sixth Amendment covers.
What's happened so far is not a prosecution, it's an investigation. Representation at Investigative meetings is never required and rarely appropriate.

It was NOT clearly labeled. That was something he came up with after he was called on it. He presented it as if that is what TTrump actually said and that is why it is such a horrific offrense. It was not a comedy routine in which it would be obvious, it was in an official governmental capacity. Don't defend this miscreant, he deserves impeachment whereas Trump does not. Schiff has been out to get Trump for all the last two and a half years and has misrepresented the situation all along, for instance by constantly claiming that this or that condemns Trump, he's about to go down, they're going to get him now and so on and so forth. Schiff should be impeached or charged with some kind of criminal misconduct because he's guilty of far more offenses than Trump and if you think anything Trump has done is actually criminal, which is ridiculous, Schiff has done far worse. He and Pelosi have abused power and obstructed justice time after time after time in ways Trum simply has not. It's all made up against Trump, and intoned in oh-so-lofty tones that are pure disgusting hypocrisy. The lot of them should be thrown out of Congress.

So what? The point was to highlight the fact that the White House offered none, without the slightest concern about the White House's legal position or reasons for so doing. They were withholding information because the impeachment hearingzs are a disgustintg travesty of justice.
