It helps to know enough about God to trust that He has the power and the will to oversee the canonicity of His word so that no matter how much dispute about this or that we can find in history we believe that the final product is in His will.

How do you explain the fact that if it were God's will there is no single uniform or universal Christian Canon but rather a range that varies from just 5 books and excluding all of the New Testament as canonical to over 80 books?

Was God incapable of determining the final product as the evidence shows?

Re: What LNA Believes (about religions). I believe we should have a chance to "know God"
But Faith and the whole Biblical Inerrancy cult claim that God directed or wrote all the material in the Bible. Faith claimed in the post I was replying to that God directed and controlled the canon.

The fact is that there is not one canon but rather many different canons and as I pointed out, the ONLY books that are common to ALL of the Christian Canons are the first five books of the OLD TESTAMENT and none of the New Testament is common to all Christian Canons.

Phat writes:

First we have to come to some consensus on whether God has an interest in the evolving activities of humans or whether He is so lofty and unknowable that we will forever be clueless of His outlook and perspective on creation in general.

Well, what does the evidence show?

I would hardly waste a bunch of sweat on the socialist worker's party, for example.

But it is the Socialist Workers Party that is most likely to see that you get a retirement, health care, a union, and food & clothing.

Which brings us to tithing. Which group is more likely to support modern tithing, the Republicans or the Socialist Workers Party?

The Socialists want all of your money to be devoted to the common good. The republicans advicate a choice to contribute as long as there is a tax break. jesus works by changing the human heart. Socialists will never make a better world while 5% control 90% of the resources. They will only force all of us left to support all of us.

Yet again, look at the evidence. It is socialism that has given us roads, fire departments, police departments, medicare, medicaid, social security, unions ...

If so, why did you choose to become an Eisenhower Republican? Is there something about socialism that you disagree with?

The GOP in the 50s is certainly not the Fascist GOP of today. And no, I can't think of anything about socialism I disagree with, but I do disagree with the utterly ignorant caricature of socialism from you and Faith and so many market.
