Hi Tangle

Tangle writes:

I know, the way it's set up it's going to be a horrible thing to watch. Poor old Phat doesn't stand a chance, the Sharman will feed him his own soul and Phat will thank him for it.

I will answer any question Phat asks me.

I have done so in the past and will now and in the future.

I will even answer your questions.

As far as me converting Phat or you that is not my job. My job as Pastor is to preach the gospel. The listeners then choose to do with it whatever they want to do.

But as far as my journey here I am here to gather information. Which you have contributed very little unless I want to use your snide remarks, which you have plenty of.

God Bless,

Hi Phat,

Phat writes:

Matthew 25:31

Since Matthew 25:31 suites what ringo wants to believe there is no scripture more important than that particular one.

There is not going to be 1 born again child of God on earth at the time of the judgment of the nations. They are already in heaven.

God made a promise to the nations that helped the descendants of Abraham. That promise will be fulfilled in the following verses of Matthew 25:31-46 when the nations that have helped the descendants of Abraham will be allowed to go into the 1000 year reign of Christ on the earth.

God Bless,

Hi Tangle

Tangle writes:

Phat is already a convert.

I didn't have anything to do with converting Phat or anyone else that I have ever preached too.

The Holy Spirit has to do the converting. I had what I thought was converts but I found out that when I converted someone against their will that they were unconverted still. So I can't convert anyone.

Tangle writes:

You are not here to gather information,

Then I have wasted a lot of space on several hard drives.

Tangle writes:

you're here to preach.

OK let me preach a little and see if you still think I have been preaching. I am going to make this a one on one sermon using Tangle as the object of the message.

Tangle according to your conversations you are as lost and hopeless as anyone I have ever come in contact with.

quote:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Tangle you have come short of the glory of God. Because you are lost and doomed for a devils hell if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

quote:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Tangle the wages of that sin is death.
But you can have life eternal if you so desire or you can spend eternity in a devils hell, it is up to you.

quote:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God loved you.

God the Son died for you so that you do not have to go to hell.

Verse 18 tells you that the reason you are lost and doomed to a devils hell is because you have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. There is no other sin that will put a person in hell.

But rest assured that if you die without trusting in the death on the cross for your sins and that after 3 days in the tomb the resurrection from the grave of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) that when you stand before Jesus at the Great White Throne judgment you will hear Him say depart from me ye worker of iniquity I never knew you.

That is the message I preach every time I get in the pulpit except on Wednesday nights when we have a Bible study verse by verse. Anything else is just giving instructions on what you are supposed to do after being born again.

Hope you enjoyed the preaching.

God Bless,

"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

If you disagree show me were the law of entropy can be dispensed with.

Hi Tangle

Tangle writes:

And yet you send missionaries out to do just that.

We send missionaries out to preach the gospel they like I can not convert anyone. A person has to be drawn by the Holy Spirit when they hear the word and then choose to accept God's offer of a free full pardon.

But many of our missionaries are doctors, farmers, well drillers and builders. They do a little more than preach the gospel.

All the evidence so far seems to confirm it.

Hi GDR

GDR writes:

ICANT writes:

Tangle you have come short of the glory of God. Because you are lost and doomed for a devils hell if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

This view of my Christian faith drives me crazy. It isn't Biblical at all. You have returned to salvation by works by turning belief in a specific doctrine into a work. It is what Jesus spoke against when He spoke against the Pharisees.

quote:
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Do you disagree with John.

He says you are condemned already because you have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

That is the only verse in the Bible that tells why a person will spend eternity in the lake of fire.

GDR writes:

The Bible is clear that it is all about the heart.

Where?

All the heart does is pump blood through the cardiovascular system.
It has no way of making decisions.

GDR writes:

Yes, as Christians we turn to God to change our hearts

How do you change your heart? Have a transplant.

GDR writes:

What is important is not our doctrine but about having hearts that image the nature of our loving, forgiving and just God

Paul thought the gospel which is a doctrine was very important. Galatians 1:8

Your heart can not image anything. All it can do is pump blood through your blood vessels.

GDR writes:

regardless of our religious beliefs.

If it does not make any difference what we believe why did Jesus say:

quote:
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus says there is one way to God. You are saying there are many ways to God. If you don't mind I will trust Jesus. Even if you do mind I will trust Jesus.

quote:
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

That does not say anything about receiving eternal life for doing those things. But yes I think we should obey the 2 commandments Jesus gave us which is:

quote:
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Jesus gave us only 2 commandments. We should obey them.

You do not have anything in your signature about Matthew 25 and you are not using what you do have from Micah. You have to click the include signature for it to be at the bottom of your post.

I will assume in Matthew 25 you are referring to the judgment of the nations verse 32. If you are in this judgment you better hope America is one of the sheep nations but I don't find America listed anywhere in the New Testament or in the prophecies.

God Bless,

Hi ringo

ringo writes:

The only reason I ever mention Matthew 25 is because so many so-called "believers" ignore it or twist it.

I do not ignore it. I just read it as it is written.

ringo writes:

That isn't what it says though. It says "all nations".

Yes and it includes all nations. But only the sheep nations are allowed to go into the kingdom of the 1000 year reign of Christ. All the goat nations are cast into everlasting fire.

Since you don't like my reasons for the nations that are selected as sheep nations maybe you could shed some light on the subject.

Hi ringo

ringo writes:

There are no "sheep nations" or "goat nations". People are judged individually.

Du!

quote:
25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

I enlarged nations where you can read it. I also enlarged separate them so you can read it.

The nations are judged and separated. Some nations will be sheep nations and some will be goat nations.

The sheep nations will enter into a kingdom prepared for them.

The goat nations will enter into the lake of fire.

I enlarged the qualifications for being a sheep nation and a goat nation.

God Bless,

The rapture will occur. The saved shall be caught up in the air.
They will be judged and the marriage supper of the Lamb will take place. All of this will take place before the the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth.

The judgment of the nations will take place at the start of the kingdom (reign) on earth. To determine what nations will inhabit the earth during the 1000 year reign.

After the 1000 year reign the devil will be loosed and will gather the nations to do battle against Christ and will come up against Jerusalem. Then will the Great White Throne Judgment take place.

This is where all those who have not trusted God and accepted His free full pardon will be judged and cast into the lake of fire.

There will be no saved people judged at this judgment.

Re: Birds Of A Feather
Hi ringo,

ringo writes:

That means all people who are living at that time.

Yes all the people living will be effected but everyone will not be in Jerusalem in order to be divided into sheep nations and goat nations.

The criterion for this judgment is based on the help that was provided to Jesus brethren. Jesus entered the world through the linage of David so He is talking about the descendants of Abraham.

Every person involved in this judgment does not have eternal life. But those of the nations who have helped the descendants of Abraham will have a second chance. Thus the sheep nations. You will notice there is no individual mentioned that is your assertion which is not supported by the text.

ringo writes:

ICANT writes:

The rapture will occur.

Unscriptural -

quote:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Rapture definition

quote:
The rapture is an eschatological term used by certain Christians, particularly within branches of North American evangelicalism, referring to an end time event when all Christian believers – living and dead – will rise into Heaven and join Christ.

The scripture says those alive will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord in the air.

The definition of rapture agrees.

ringo disagrees, so what? Rant on but you nor I have any right to change what the word says.

This catching up happens prior to the judgment of the nations which is right after Jesus returns with his feet touching the earth.

God Bless,

Re: Birds Of A Feather
Hi ringo

ringo writes:

Matthew didn't say anything about Jerusalem and neither did I.

When Jesus comes back to earth where do you think He is going to return too?

Why would Matthew mention Jerusalem?

For that matter why would you? Especially when you seem to know so little of what the Bible actually says.

Zechariah prophesied of the day of the Lord.

quote:
Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The nations will be judged after this battle is fought. Jesus will then set His feet on the Mt of Olives.

quote:
Acts 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

He will come in like manner as He left. I believe the passages above even puts Him on the same Mount if not in the same spot.

After Jesus was taken up from them they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olivet which is Olives. The Greek word translated Olivet comes from the word translated Olives and means Olives.

Many of the nations are going to be gathered together to go against Jerusalem. Jesus will come and fight the nations subduing them. Not all nations will be fighting against Israel. Those who support Israel will be the sheep nations those who oppose Israel will be the goat nations. They will be judged at the judgment of the Nations. Jesus will then set His feet on the Mount of Olives and it will be divided creating a valley.

ringo writes:

His physical lineage is not relative. Jesus considered all men an women as brothers and sisters. Note the story of the Good Samaritan.

I am a joint heir with Jesus that makes Him my big brother. You are my neighbor but you are not my brother to my knowledge.

So everyone is not Jesus brother. If a person has not accepted the offer of a free full pardon offered by God through the death on the cross being born into the family of God they are not Jesus brother.

ringo writes:

On the contrary, it is ONLY individuals that are mentioned.

You have ceased being obtuse and now have become daff.

ringo writes:

Countries don't feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit prisons, etc.

The US spends between 700 and 800 billion per year on poverty in the US.

The US spends 50 billion per year around the world.

Sure seems to me our country is trying to feed and clothe a lot of people.

I want to make sure I don't misquote what you said so I have quoted the rest of the message verbatim.

quote:
ICANT writes:

The scripture says those alive will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord in the air.

quote:
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Thessalonians 4:16-17 talks about the second coming of Jesus. It is not a separate event. And it says nothing about the dead rising - so no, it doesn't agree with your definition of the "rapture".
ICANT writes:

ringo disagrees, so what? Rant on but you nor I have any right to change what the word says.

You're the one who is changing what the word says, as I have shown.

I am going to capitalize some of the words in the quote and then comment below.

ringo writes:

1Thessalonians 4:16-17 talks about the second coming of Jesus.

The part of the quote I changed to green says this meeting takes place in the air. Jesus does not touch the earth so it is not the second coming. When His feet touch the Mount of Olives Zec. 14:4, that is the second coming.

ringo writes:

And it says nothing about the dead rising

The large capital white text says the dead in Christ shall rise first.
The green text says they will meet the Lord in the air.

ringo writes:

it doesn't agree with your definition of the "rapture".

In Message 58 I said:

quote:
Rapture definition
quote:
The rapture is an eschatological term used by certain Christians, particularly within branches of North American evangelicalism, referring to an end time event when all Christian believers – living and dead – will rise into Heaven and join Christ.

The text in Red says "we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds," them is the dead in Christ in the big white text.

Those which are alive will be caught up with those that are dead in Christ.

The text in green says that meeting with the Lord will be in the air not on the ground. This will take place a maximum of 7 and a minimum of 3 1/2 years before Jesus will set His feet on the Mount of Olives.

ringo I love to debate as I was on the debate team in high school. Our FFA chapter comprised the entire team. We won many debates. I did not care whether I was on the affirmative side or the negative side of the point in question.

But what you are doing is not even close to debating. It is not even close to arguing a point. You do not seem capable of reading and understanding what you read and being able to discuss it. I think that is just you being obtuse or daff makes no difference which it is I do not have time to be wasting trying to discuss something with someone who is being dishonest and not interested in the truth. So if your next post is as daff at the one I am responding too you will not have to worry about me answering another of your posts.

God Bless,

Re: Birds Of A Feather
Hi Paul

AZPaul writes:

So there are two judgement days? One for individuals and one for nations? How about one for atheists, one for Iowa alumni and one for rotarians? Can we have these too?

There are three judgments.

The judgment of the saved will take place first. This is the judgment seat of Christ.

The judgment of the nations will take place shortly before the second coming of Christ. This is the judgment of the nations. It fulfills a promise made to Abraham concerning the nations.

quote:
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The nations that support Israel in their battle with the anti-Christ will be allowed to enter the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth in His earthly kingdom.

The judgment of those who refused to believe God will be last at the Great White throne Judgment.

The atheist fit in this category, as wells as some of the Iowa alumni and some of the rotarians. But hopefully some of the Iowa alumni and some of the rotarians will be at the judgment seat of Christ. Some might even be lucky enough to be living in a nation that helps Israel in their battle with the anti-Christ. Even some atheist might be in this bunch by living in the right country.

That would be a great way for an atheist to meet Jesus. I wonder if he/she would then believe in Him. Probably not the Religious Jews didn't accept Him.

God Bless,

Hi Phat

Phat writes:

One interesting argument that we have around here is whether this whole "saved" and "blood-bought" impartation from God makes believers a sheep category rather than a goat category.

Let me address this a little and if you want to discuss it more bring it up in the debate.

There is very little difference between me and Tangle.

We are both sinners.

But there is a difference. Tangle is a lost sinner and I am a saved sinner.

I did not get a glorified body that did not commit sin when I was born again only my spirit was born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption

Neither of us was condemned because we sinned. Mankind was condemned because the man formed from the dust of the ground disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Tangle is still condemned because he does not believe in God and therefore has never trusted God to save him from the bondage he was sold into.

I on the other hand believe in God and have trusted Him to save me and give me eternal life. So I received a full pardon and am justified before God. But I am still a sinner. That is a battle I have to fight on a daily basis. I just have to try to get better every day.
