You know there is no one scientific method? There are a lot of them. Each one specifically designed custom for a specific project. Yes, they pretty much all follow a set of parameters, and peer review will determine if a specific method is appropriate to the experimental design being studied.In science, everything has to work properly in order to get it right. That's why there is a method. That's why there is a protocol for statistical analysis. That's why the design is set up as it is. If it is ALL done right then the scientist has reached the required minimum.

I just wanted you to explain it a little further, but you just resorted to insulting again.I would even say math is one of the tools of the scientific method, not "science". Science is subjective, requires faith, and the scientific method is not.

You could also say that the Earth is flat. Just saying a thing does not make it true.If you have to define faith in a way that makes it meaningless then there's a problem. When you can demonstrate that something is true using demonstrable facts then that isn't faith. It just shows that you determine the trustworthiness of what is said by how well it agrees with your already held prejudices. I find it fascinating that believers try to discredit atheists by making them look more like believers. It's the very definition of psychological projection.

They CAN be synonyms. And synonyms CAN mean exactly the same OR they can mean subtly different.I look at synonyms as a warning sign. If there is a synonym for a word, be careful which one you use. There are many believers and creationists in these discussions who tacitly admit that science is superior to their beliefs. They do this when they try to discredit science by calling it a religion. Funny how you never see scientists trying to discredit Christianity by calling it a science.
