Re: Partial birth abortion is not an accurate term
Can we please be very careful with the term “healthy”, when it is applied in relation to disability. My stepson is heavily autistic, for example, but that does not make him unhealthy.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

So mistakes are made. Are you going to ban heart surgery because it doesn't always work?

It's becoming pretty obvious that "partial-birth abortion" is a lie.

Since you have agreed that substantial numbers of people agree that restrictions on late-term abortions are reasonable, your statement "nobody but you" about your use of the word "dictatorial" is incorrect.

With additional or special needs is fine.

Yes, your inability to provide examples of partial-birth abortions has always been an answer to the question. It's not as conclusive as you openly admitting that it's a lie, but it will do.

That doesn't follow at all. If millions of people agree that the trains should run on time, that doesn't mean Mussolini was not a dictator.

But you're dishonest as well as wrong. I was refering to people HERE on EvC not objecting to my use of the word "dictatorial".

Re: Partial birth abortion is not an accurate term
If you want to be particular about it, a foetus that will have additional or special needs, yes.

Re: Partial birth abortion is not an accurate term
Verifiable evidence is all we ask for. Instead you present an uncorroborated news story from a British tabloid paper. That is the sum total of your evidence? And now you are dismissive?

Good day, Ma'am.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

How many Republicans are there in that clown car?
From The Guardian:

Republican Steve King: if not for incest and rape 'would there be any population left?'

Member of the House of Representatives Steve King promoting absolutely no exceptions anti-abortion laws:

"What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled out anyone who was a product of rape or incest?" King told a breakfast meeting in Urbandale, Iowa. "Would there be any population of the world left if we did that? Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages that happened throughout all these different nations, I know that I can’t say that I was not a part of a product of that."

Pete Buttigieg's response:

You would think it would be pretty easy to come out against rape and incest. Then again, you’d think it’d be pretty easy to come out against white nationalism. So this is just one more example why there needs to be a sane representative in that district.

Edited by Chiroptera, : Edited first sentence.

Look at female "rights" since the 1996 welfare "reform".
From an Atlantic article that looks at the results:

BUSINESS
20 Years Since Welfare 'Reform'
America’s poorest are still dealing with the consequences of the legislation that Bill Clinton signed into law two decades ago today.

KATHRYN EDINH. LUKE SHAEFER
AUG 22, 2016

quote:
How did they survive? Nearly all had sold plasma from time to time, some regularly. In 2014, so-called “donations” hit an all-time high at 32.5 million, triple the rate recorded a decade prior. They collected tin cans for an average yield of about $1 an hour. They traded away their food stamps, usually at the going rate of 50 or 60 cents on the dollar. Some traded sex for cash or—more commonly—the payment of their cell phone bill, a room to stay in, a meal, or some other kind of help. One 15-year-old was lured into a sexual relationship with her teacher on the promise of food. Yet these desperately needy families either didn’t know the program existed, felt the stigma and hassle weren’t worth it, or had been rebuffed at the welfare office.

https://www.theatlantic.com/...0-years-welfare-reform/496730

The right for desperate females (with children) to prostitute themselves more than ever to survive.

In 2019, no less.

Lovely.

(Put WHAT HAPPENED TO WELFARE into Google for lots of articles)
