I agree with this, but I think this is true of anyone who claims their candidate is more electible - including Sanders' supporters in 2016.
It always seems to me that saying someone is "more electable" is just another way of saying, "I like this guy better."

In fact, Clinton received the most votes. Trump being President is definitely not because Clinton was unelectable.
