Re: Protests and counter protests at Islamic conference
She got confused when it hit her that his being born in Kenya was a big problem for an American President, which somebody reminded her of, poked her in the side or something to remind her. I haven't listened back to it but that's how I remember it. "Uh oh, best not give that one away." But she was VERY sure at first who she was talking about.

Re: Obama's birthplace
The Left has done nothing but try to overturn Trump's election from the moment he won it, every minute of every day that's what they've been doing. Questioned its legitimacy in the first place then worked at proving some kind of illegality against him, which they've failed at over and over. Been absolutely unable to tolerate the fact that he won when they were so sure of Hillary, can't stand it, hate his guts, have to get him out of office one way or another. All of it lies. Which it wasn't in the case of Obama.

Re: Obama's birthplace
I read it years ago before my eyes got so bad I could no longer read easily. Macular degeneration is a progressive disease. But actually I thought I remembered hearing it, not reading it anyway.
I wonder what happened to that audio anyway? Hm? Oh by now even if it showed up it would have been so tampered with it wouldn't be the same anyway.
I just looked it up on You Tube. There are lots of videos of his grandmother including an interview in which she speaks her native language and no translation is provided. She's even on the phone in part of the video.

Re: Protests and counter protests at Islamic conference
I never supported Cruz, that's entirely your own invention. But bringing that up is just a distraction from the subject of whether Obama was born in Kenya or not, a switch of subject.
Yes I have no doubt he was born in Kenya, the grandmother said so and then got confused because some voice beside her said something that got her confused.

He performs his duties just fine despite massive obstruction, refusal to cooperate and constant harassment no other President has ever had to endure but the constant opposition interferes with his efforts.

Re: Obama's birthplace
Nobody would bother making up something like his birthplace in Kenya, it would be too easy to check out, it was entirely because there was evidence for it. His grandmother knew and said so but someone "reminded" her that she shouldn't admit to it.
"
And all the ways this subject is dealt with add to the evidence. Oh she was really talking about the birth of her son. Give me a break, the woman is no idiot, she knows nobody wants to know about the birth of her son. Oh she didn't know what she was saying, oh it was a language problem, a translation problem.. All imply the grandmother wouldn't have known that it was her world-famous grandson that was being talked about. All this maneuvering is a tacit admissions that it was obvious that she had said he was born in Kenya so all this is a big scramble to rationalize it away, and the rationalizations are unbelievably transparent.
And then we get the next layer of deception: EVEN IF HE WAS BORN IN KENYA (oh really?) it wouldn't have been unconstitutional (then why make such a big deal out of denying it?), or what about Ted Cruz?. That one is a real red flag, practically an admission that you now that Obama was born in Kenya, if you want to make an issue of another candidate's similar circumstances.
All these excuses and changes of subject are evidence in themselves that the evidence is strong for a Kenyan birth place.
And I recall the birth certificate having something obviously wrong with it, something like different kinds of typing on it or an odd way the name was written or something like that. My own certificate has very consistent wording and typing, but his doesn't.
My guess would be that someone made a choice not to pursue the evidence and just let the deception stand.

Re: Protests and counter protests at Islamic conference
His aged and somewhat impaired grandmother misunderstood the translator or the translator messed up. She saw his father, Barack Hussein Obama (senior, but not at that time) born. An easy mistake to make.
quote:
The claim is based on an Oct. 16, 2008, telephone call between Bishop Ron McRae of the Anabaptist Churches of North America and Sarah Obama of Kenya, Barack Obama's elderly step-grandmother. The interview is complicated by the addition of at least one translator, because Sarah Obama, then 86, spoke Swahili.
The edited portion that often makes the rounds on the Internet includes this part of the interview:
McRae: "Could I ask her about his actual birthplace? I would like to see his birthplace when I come to visit Kenya in December. Was she present when he was born in Kenya?"
"She says yes she was. She was present when Obama was born," said the translator.
Smoking gun? Only if you stop the tape there and don't listen to the rest of the interview.
McRae immediately followed up by saying, "Okay, when I come in December, I would like to go by the place, the hospital where he was born. Could you tell me where he was born? Was he born in Mombasa?"
The translator can be heard translating, and then, he said, "No. Obama was not born in Mombasa. He was born in America."
Said McRae: "Whereabouts was he born? I thought he was born in Kenya."
The response came back, "He was born in America, not in Mombasa."
"Do you know where he was born?" McRae continued. "I thought he was born in Kenya. I was gonna go by and see where he was born."
"Hawaii. She says he was born in Hawaii," the translator said. "In the state of Hawaii, where his father, his father was also learning there. The state of Hawaii."
"I thought she said she was present," McRae said. "Was she able to see him being born in Hawaii?''
"No, no," the translator said. "...She was not ... she was here in Kenya. Obama was born in America ... Because the grandmother was back in Kenya and Obama was born in America, where he is from, where his father was learning, learning in America, the United States."
Listen to the conversation for yourself. The interesting parts start at 4:20.

Re: Killing kids
It appears that they are not backtracking very far.
quote:
The agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security, had sent letters informing those who had asked for a renewal, which the immigrants must make every two years, that it was no longer entertaining such requests. The letters said that the immigrants must leave the country within 33 days, or face deportation.
On Monday, the agency said in a statement that while limiting the program was appropriate, officials would complete the caseload that was pending on August 7.
The statement said that deportation proceedings had not been initiated against anyone who had received the letter. However, it did not say whether it would continue to grant immigrants extensions to stay in the country or whether the program would be continued after current applications are processed.
When asked for clarification, an agency official said the agency is taking immediate corrective action to reopen previously pending cases for consideration.
Whether a very limited version of deferred action will continue forward at U.S.C.I.S. is still under review. More information will be forthcoming, said the official, who only agreed to speak on background.
Translation: we're going to wait until the hullabaloo dies down and off 'em on the down low.
And Faith will be cheering them on.
Do you guys never stop with the lying accusations?
Do you ever try to defend the barbarities of this administration?
There's not one lie in my posts on this subject. I even dug up a post from an ultra-right-wing site confirming the existence of the termination of the program. (Of course they had to lie about the legal status of the people in the program.)
The fact is that Ken Cuccinelli and Stephen Miller, with Trump’s blessing, want to kill sick brown kids to let everyone know there's no evil to which they won't sink to get rid of immigrants legal and illegal.
The fact is also that you haven't lifted a finger to check my facts. You assume they're lies because they don't fit your dogma.
Finally, it's a fact that you standing by silent without any interest in reality or compassion makes you complicit in the brutality.
It's really sad when someone's fantasy world leads them to want innocent sick kids executed.

PRATTs
Congress many times voted for a wall on the border; those who now object to it voted for it.
We've done this lie recently. Have you no memory? As predicted, long debunked and easily disproved.
PolitiFact | Did Democrats reverse border wall position after Donald Trump was elected?
quote:
"Sen. Chuck Schumer, who you will be hearing from later tonight, has repeatedly supported a physical barrier in the past along with many other Democrats," Trump said Jan. 8 in his prime time address on the border wall. "They changed their mind only after I was elected president."
That’s a mischaracterization of the barrier that won Democratic support 13 years ago.
Just over half of Democrats in the Senate voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which was signed into law by President George W. Bush, including then-Sens. Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton. Most Democrats in the House voted against it, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
The law authorized a fence along about 700 miles of the border between the U.S.-Mexico border. By 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection had constructed 654 miles of fencing, the Government Accountability Office reported.
The fence was different from the wall Trump promised to build on the campaign trail, which he said would be made of "hardened concrete" as tall as "95 stories" with a "very big, very beautiful door."
Trump derided the 2006 fence as too modest during the 2016 campaign he said it was "not a wall" but a "little fence" that could be scaled with a ladder.
"Now we got lucky because it was such a little wall, it was such a nothing wall, no, they couldn't get their environmental probably a snake was in the way or a toad," Trump said. (Actually, the project didn’t face environmental hurdles; we rated that part of the claim Mostly False.)
So what the Democrats voted for was much much smaller in size and extent, and has been in place for years. If it was the same thing why would Trump denigrate it and want to replace it.
Of course no response from Faith. She'll just repeat the lie some time in the near future.

This is just the usual selective evidence from the Left, at least more context is needed. I'll wait until I have a better source, thanks.
ABE: Calling something a lie which is at worst some kind of misunderstanding is such a standard Leftist calling card, forget ever getting me to take you seriously based on your supposed evidence.
