Re: Kill the Adults and Leave the Children?
Thankfully He washes away all of our stains (or gives us enough strength to clean the kitchen) but I think I know where you are going here. You are reaffirming that you believe (and know) that God is never wrong and you get angry at these guys for daring to show (prove or argue) that He is in fact wrong on several occasions within the books(of the Bible). Hey, I'm with you there. God is God no matter what anyone says and He is and will be the final arbitrator whether or not they mock Him, ignore Him, or attempt to indict Him. (silly humans, I know )
Aussie knows organized religion well and has seen much hypocrisy. What we might ask him is what he would do if he found out that Jesus was actually real apart, before, and beyond the book. What would he hope Jesus to actually be? Would he have issues with God? (If so, that would be encouraging. I think that deep down we all have issues with religion and the authoritarianism we were taught. ) I can understand people who reject what they were indoctrinated with and with organized religion in general. I want to know how they would respond if Jesus were God and were actually in front of them?

Re: Kill the Adults and Leave the Children?
I indirectly asked you a question in the previous post to Faith. You may want to know what I would do were Jesus real and to appear before me. First, let's assume for argument's sake that when this apparition appeared, we instinctively knew it was Jesus and not some imposter) I can honestly say I would be scared. I would perhaps question my sanity. And then I would basically go from there and react to the actions of Jesus at that point.
Flipping the question, what would I do if i suddenly became aware and certain that no Gods existed and that Jesus was simply a character in a book?
Im not sure what I would feel. I would be depressed. Perhaps a bit angry..(at who, I dunno). And perhaps I would reevaluate my daily actions and responsibilities at that point. Oh and I would know that I would likely never exist beyond the life I have here.
