(The Democrates will of course get blamed for the collapse, though it wont be any one parties fault. It will simply be reality.) You really need to learn the basics Phat. There is no Global Currency Standard. Really Phat. Why do you keep believing such utter complete bullshit as gets marketed by the Christian Cult of Ignorance?

Its not the CCoI propoganda. Its mainstream.

Big turnouts tend to favor the democrats. (tend).
Regardless, I am going to get my vote in.

Yes Phat, not just wrong but utterly dishonest as well and counting on the readers being incapable of even reading what is truly written.
quote: Learn how to read Phat. It is also irrelevant. Times change and the relative popularity of various currencies changes. It was the Pound Sterling for a time and the Spanish Real for a time and the Chinese Yuan for a long long time. The fact is that we live and have lived in a society of convertible currencies for over a century. Currently US dollars are being held as reserve deposits BUT those dollars can instantly be exchanged for almost any other currency in existence; even some currencies that have NO actual existence yet are still valid currency.

Canada has recently had three provincial elections (New Brunswick, British Columbia and Saskatchewan) which returned the incumbents with majorities. The pundits say that with the covid situation, people don't want another change to add to the uncertainty. There were also large increases in mail-in voting and advanced voting, also attributed to covid anxiety.
Now, all of the governments returned are far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far better than Trump. Changes might have been "nice", all things being equal, but it would have been like choosing between a 5 and a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. In the American case, the choice is much more obvious."I've been to Moose Jaw, now I can die." -- John Wing

Read an interesting article recently noting that early voting ballots are more likely to be disallowed than in-person voting the day of the election. There's nothing nefarious about that: when you vote in person there are people there to answer your questions and help you if you have a problem.
BUT This year the Democrat voters appear to be (according to polling) a much higher proportion of early voters than in the past (when the parties were roughly evenly split) and so it may turn out that many more Democrat votes than Republican votes will be thrown out this year. Just imagine the controversy if the outcome hinges on a few votes in swing states.

Don’t you think that all the Republican efforts to get votes thrown out, or to make it difficult to vote or even to interfere with ballots are going to be a bigger issue?

All the indications are that fraud is not really a problem (or at least that's what the news media keep repeating).
I was thinking of the usual errors and omissions that are simply much more likely when voters vote early or use postal ballots than when they vote in-person on the day of. If it's not a close election it won't make any difference. But if it's close...

But disqualified votes happen to a small percentage of the ENTIRE voting population. Even if that percentage is small the absolute numbers could end up being quite disquieting.

And the Republicans are working hard on disqualifying more. You seem determined to ignore that point. Trump himself is insisting that counting should stop on the 3rd, despite the problems with the postal system which will delay ballots. The problems which seem to have been intentionally created to delay ballots... And that’s not all.

I'm not concerned about the fraud republicans hint at in democrat states but more the kind the republicans are presently practicing in California, Texas, Penn, and more, quite openly and, seeing recent court cases, quite legally.
Though always subject to political shenanigans, voting rights used to be championed by the courts as a near sacred Civil Right in this country. Every time some yahoo backwoods Hon. State Representative decided it would be great if they only allowed one mail-ballot drop location per county regardless of area or population leading to such truly American spectacles as 1 ballot drop in a large spread out county of 80,000 people and another only-one box in a county so big it takes better part of a day to drive across, every time this republican bozo raised his head there was always a Right Honorable Judge of some Federal court to step in and say "WTF?!" That's not happening these days. Appears the courts have decided to tread very lightly on the State's Right to control its elections. And questions of egregious intent seem to have been set aside. The conservatives' control and packing of the courts for generations now is having the intended effect. Voting rights are now subservient to political will. Fortunately (crossed fingers and toes) this is a Trump disaster as much for the republicans as for the rest of the nation and the world. The man really is poison. Longer term there is still time to assert some control of the voting regulations in wounded republican states before the trump poison wears off. Voting has been extended in recent years so that people can vote over a period of weeks. People don't have to speak English to vote in America. Even before the pandemic you could vote absentee (by mail) at your convenience.
The reason for the low numbers of votes liberals have garnered is apathy about their candidates (why should we vote for a crooked old white male anti-busing ass-grabber named Joe just to toss out one named Donald?). Possibly (as you say) Trump will inspire more of them to vote. We'll just have to see.

You may be correct, we'll just have to see.
But the fact remains that even if (unbiased) robots were checking over all the ballots the mailed in votes would be more likely to be disqualified. Since Democrats seem to be bringing their troops to the battlefield this way more than the Republicans are, there will be more Democrat votes disqualified.
