That first guy is a little whiner. Where does he get off trying to legislate morality to protect his and only his feelings? If he cant show respect for freedom of religion (and religious texts) then why he expects me to tiptoe around his definition of offensive speech rings hollow. Perhaps I should pray about it more, for I am aware that he offends me.
Figures he calls himself "Mr.Deity".

Mr.Deity
My belief is that it is the spirit of the antichrist. Of course you all have derided my belief as fantasy, un-evidenced, and therefore grouped with a pantheon of false gods and false religions...we all know that.
The very idea of belittling GOD, Creator of all seen and unseen and the Trinitarian model is predicted, expected, and continuing to grow in our world today. In your defense, you have a logical scientific argument on your side, (though many respectable science minded individuals are believers) so it is not science itself that opposes my Trinitarian Theism.
And as for jars assertion (hypothetically representing one of the early church positions) I of course can bring up the scriptural justifications of current folk who agree with my own beliefs, but to examine the arguments in ancient context is at best pointless to me since I ascribe Ellis Potters philosophies as close to my own current beliefs.
Of course to the rest of you heathen, I'll not even bother trying to justify anything scriptural since none of you revere or respect the book and instead use doctrines of demons and modern political correctness (witchcraft) to spew your anti theist propaganda.
I wont spend a lot of time wrestling these demons, but will simply pray against such spirits in Jesus name. I must be careful to fight the demons you carry rather than you yourselves. You may laugh and scoff, but keep in mind that we may yet glean some humor in this topic rather than a soapbox for the antichrist.

No one expects you slithering snakes of PC correctness and antichrist philosophies (doctrines of demons) to do anything but mock Him or deny that He even exists. Perhaps you all should go have an orgy. Men, Women, heck even animals! You did it back in the ancient days and you could do it again...only this time in the name of equality and respect for the human rather than respect for God. I will try and behave in this topic, however because I care about AZPaul3. I only fight his demon, SleazyPaul3. Deal with it, cupcake.

GOD In The Frying Pan
Stephen Fry is a bit arrogant in what he would say to GOD, but he is honest and I can see why you like him. GOD Himself gave us brains, hearts, and honest emotions for a reason. No demons there.

Re: GOD In The Frying Pan
Jesus Himself has no problem with homosexual atheists, Were they to meet, He would simply cast the demons that they had out of them, freeing theem up to truly love.
We all have demons, be we Christian or Atheist, gay or straight,
I know mine need to be exposed and untangled from my own mind and heart.

So jesus thinks that atheists and homosexuals are possessed by demons.
And this is not a problem?
I knew this was going to cause a reaction before I even said it. Keep in mind that I did not single out same sex attraction. Tangle is the one who brought out the fact that Stephen Fry was gay. My beef with Fry was not and is not the fact that he is gay. My only bother about Fry was that he dared to be arrogant with God, as if he himself were superior. Many people have this problem including some of our members.
And I did not specifically say that atheists and gays had demons. M y belief is that most if not all of us have some oppression. That our goal as humans is to become less arrogant and more humble. That learning how to love is a process and that it applies to everyone.
Of course, since you guys do not believe that God(or perhaps "my God" or perhaps "The Christian God" or whom I call Jesus Christ actually exists, I can see why you would be offended by my hubris. I have no beef with any humans.
I DO claim that all of us can learn how to love more honestly and deeply.
The day that I can love a homeless stinky guy with the same fervor that I may love someone I am attracted to will be a powerful day indeed.

Re: GOD In The Frying Pan
Your definition needs to include the deep hatred of Christians toward ... humanity.
Dare we lump all of them together? Were I a liberal, I would not wish to be categorized with any specific traits that I did not embrace. Christians do not like to be stereotyped either. Unless we had a Southern Baptist Lives Matter movement, or a Jesus is lovey dovey Spinozaspeak movement.

Re: GOD In The Frying Pan
Here I am trying to get through life as a good guy while skewering religion and you're telling me I've been Christian all along?
Oh brother! I know where you guys are taking this argument and you may just win it!
First you came at me like demons, mocking Jesus and His Mother. Then you flip it all around to the typical liberal kumba yaheveryone is saved and in the club sorta thing! Which does not anger me, but which infuriates my demons. Because now they are no longer exclusive. No longer holding the power of the chosen people. No longer able to cast your devils out of you but forced to bow and scrape and serve you even if you take all my money and are not Christians. And they really really hate that! But I wont argue too much except to ask which God we are talking about. It better not be that pesky altruistic god of Spinoza. I am not a pantheist nor do I believe that that god was anything apart from a liberal fantasy. Then again, maybe my demons are telling me to fight you on this.

Guilt By Association
MTW writes:
For those who really do care about rational thinking, here's some things to consider.
First of all with, "religion", the problem is how broad the term is.(...)CONCLUSION: Really it's all semantics. What most atheists aren't smart enough to know they are doing is called an ASSOCIATION FALLACY. What you do is you LUMP people into two categories, and you basically venerate and exalt one category (atheism) and in the other group you LUMP all of the negative traits.
I agree with your overall assessment except to clarify the terminology. I would clarify your argument as follows:
Phats edited version writes:
What you do is you LUMP people into two categories, and you basically venerate and exalt one category (Critical Thinking and Skepticism pending objective evidence) and the other group (Yours and Mine)
The two categories are thus Objective Reproducible Evidence in opposition to Subjective Belief.
jar goes so far as to claim the latter is absurd. I think he really despises the Biblical Christians, but he has no room to label their beliefs as impossible.
The many opponents of your belief and mine are unified in opposition to the very idea of a cosmic authority to whom they would become accountable to. It is a battle for control of free willed character. Oh but they have every sacred right to impose cancel culture and legislate reparations! (NOT)
Though you purposefully come across as somewhat arrogant, I know that you do it because it frustrates your opponents.
(I'll take all of you on in an IQ test! )
... but our opponents will and do differentiate between raw intelligence and rational educated evidence based thinking. To them, that always trumps belief of any kind. But then...they don't believe in Jesus as living and active. Perhaps they best bow to the superior intelligence. Now Who is He, again?
Perhaps a question for you, Mike. What concrete objective evidence would we give them?
Edited by Phat, : better clarified thinking for the argument I chose.

Re: Guilt By Association
I am unable to present a reasoned argument concerning a strong feeling that is shared by many believers. I want you to also watch the video of a Sid Roth show where he has David Diga Hernandez on as a guest.
For what my character is worth, I consider David as honest in what he is "marketing" or presenting to the audience regarding the Holy Spirit. He is articulate and describes this unevidenced feeling with candor. Give it a watch, Stile. I always like talking with you. We can disagree and remain cordial to each other.
