Re: Dark Energy does not add any extra "space" to Space in a galaxy.
LNA asks again:
essentially whether or not we have actual evidence for expansion of space at the galaxy level ( and lower).
Even one galaxy is too small for our sensors to measure this today. And even a local groups of galaxies, with their bobbing and weaving around, are too small. M31 in Andromeda is on a collision course with our Milky Way and the magnitude of that swamps out any space expansion. You need to go way further out.
with apologies to the old 1936 Stuff-Smith-and-his-Onyx-Club-Boys version by changing 1 letter - sorry, had to do it.
Dreamed about a reefer five feet long. A Mighty Mezz, but not too strong. You'll be high but not for long If you'se a vaper. I'm the king of everything. I've got to be high before I can swing. Light a tea and let it be If you'se a vaper. When your throat get dry you know you're high Everything is dandy Truck on down to the candy store Bust your konk on peppermint candy Then you know that you're body's spent. You don't care if you don't pay rent. Sky is high and so am I If you'se a vaper.
note - Mezz Mezzaro was a jazz musician whose connection was to a very high quality smoke and his joints were knicknamed "The Mighty Mezz"!!!
Additional note from wikipedia: Mighty Mezz, and not too strong. "Mighty Mezz" refers to Milton Mezzrow, a Jewish saxophone and clarinet player who became enamored with black American culture while playing in the speakeasies of prohibition-era Chicago. The self-described "voluntary negro" moved to Harlem after prohibition ended, and in his early years there was known more for his drug-dealing than his playing. The stronger Mexican marijuana that he introduced to the jazz scene in Harlem came to be known simply as "Mezz." As Mezzrow later put it: "Some of our musician pals used to stick these hip phrases into their songs when they broadcast over the radio, because they knew we'd be huddled around the radio in the Barbeque and that was their way of saying hello to me and all the vipers. That mellow Mexican leaf really started something in Harlem."
I mean, imagine planning to have Perseverance in the annular eclipse path before you even launch it! Wow to JPL.
I'm gonna have enough trouble getting to upstate NY, west coast of Lake Champlain in 2024 to see the Total there unless I can get my son to drive me and he is free on that date, April 8th, 2024 around 3:20pm. I have never seen a Total. Lots of Partials with the pinhole in the long box onto a sheet of paper, but never in my 76 years (it would be 78 then) a Total.
Info says it's cloudy 70% of the time under the maximum line. Wrong! It's 100% raining if I'm there and a gorgeous clear sunny day if I'm not.

interesting that the little "trapezium" of 4 white stars at the bottom of the 3rd leg (the small one at the right half way down) in the JWST is INVISIBLE in the Hubble version due to them being so far in the Red end. the Hubble view:
i call it a "trapezium" because it's like the Trapezium at the center of the Orion nebula, M42.
