Some strains of cannabis available commercially here are awfully potent (high THC). I grew 4 plants to harvest last year of 3 strains and one had higher yield and also seemed to have the strongest smelling terpines. It turned out to be the most potent as far as THC goes that I have ever experienced, so it takes fewer tokes to achieve the effect I want, so less lung damage.

Re: I hate science
I couldn't put up the effort to grow my own stuff. I'm lazy.
I vape. Cartridges are available from my favorite state-regulated drug pusher superstore at a surprisingly decent price. Quality and dose are excellent. I haven't seen anything less that 90.3% THC, so ya, a little goes a long way. I don't take lung hits. I take little sips. Mild throat hits. Just a couple small sips is all it takes for a almost immediate buzz. Then I go sip, sip, sip, sip, sip, sip on the thing for a half an hour or until Gowron, son of M'Rel, himself appears and makes me stop.
Then I get on EvC and talk to yous guys.

Here in the great of Wisissippi
Well here the frozen north we will probably not see legal weed in my lifetime. The GQP doesn't want to do anything to hinder the school to prison pipeline. It also gives them a reason to shame the poor and BIPOC. The rubes love having someone to hate and shame, even when they are part of the group being attacked.
I figured I would just to wait till it became legal at a federal level, but I don't see that happening. I fear the great backlash is coming and we will be fighting just to maintain the right to vote.

I figured I would just to wait till it became legal at a federal level, but I don't see that happening.
I have a hard time understanding why the federal law has not been dumped. It is another perfect way to tax the poor.
The city council (republicans) where I live voted to ban cannabis sales in the city. Once they saw how much tax revenue other cities were raking in from cannabis sales, that changed.
It is still a completely cash business, because federal banking laws will not allow cannabis businesses to use normal banking practices for businesses.

Re: I hate science
I couldn't put up the effort to grow my own stuff. I'm lazy.
The growing took hardly any work besides watering, but the harvest was a pain in the butt, with all the trimming. It took a lot more time than I expected. If I grow in the future it will be just one plant at a time.
The plants provide lots of interesting extreme macro photography subjects and I love the odor.
I vape. Cartridges are available from my favorite state-regulated drug pusher superstore at a surprisingly decent price. Quality and dose are excellent. Just a couple small sips is all it takes for a almost immediate buzz.
I have never tried that. Do you have any recommendations for a vaping device?
I got a bit more than 5 lbs. of dried buds from from 4 plants and have been thinking about cooking a lot of it down to extract the THC and CBD into a tincture. It can be used in edibles and I assume vaped also.

Re: I hate science
When I do partake, I usually do some edibles and smoke. Vaped a couple of times and liked it.
I do not partake in places where it is illegal. Not necessarily because I don't want to break the law(it is like speeding), but because in the places where it is illegal the line of people it goes back to is a very bad man. I will not subsidize criminal thugs that are probably involved in actual illicit drugs, human trafficking, and even worse things.

Re: I hate science
Do you have any recommendations for a vaping device?
I think the best thing would be visit a legal dispensary. If it’s like mine they will show you the cartridges, disposable, 500 or 1000 mg of 90%+ THC. I’m a moderate user and each 1000 mg cartridge lasts me about 7 to 10 days. They will also have a pen battery that the cartridge screws into for power. It’s a slim cylinder like a cigarette and comes with a separate USB module to charge the battery. Less than $10 for the set and I’ve had my latest one for 5 years.
Probably not at a dispensary but at a real vape shop there are very fancy battery modules for the hard corps champion smokestack puffing billowing dense fogs of vape. Hundreds of $$. Adjustable, up over 100 watts. Nice for peacock displays of billowing vape juice but way too harsh for THC. Don’t go there. I still have my larger older vape mod from years ago. I have to set it below 10 watts to produce a tolerable mist to inhale. One of the reasons my cartridges last as long as they do, I guess. If you decide to distill your own elixir you will want to visit the vape shop to see the refillable screw-in cartridges they carry.
One of the reasons I went to vape cartridges is that the plant was just too harsh to enjoy without hacking my lungs out. At the lower powers of the pen battery and lower set vape mod this abrasiveness is near gone. As I said in my other post I can sip at the vape gently then inhale without the irritation. Even better than a hookah.
Hope this helps.

Re: vaping
with apologies to the old 1936 Stuff-Smith-and-his-Onyx-Club-Boys version by changing 1 letter - sorry, had to do it.
Dreamed about a reefer five feet long.
A Mighty Mezz[1], but not too strong.
You'll be high but not for long
If you'se a vaper.
I'm the king of everything.
I've got to be high before I can swing.
Light a tea and let it be
If you'se a vaper.
When your throat get dry you know you're high
Everything is dandy
Truck on down to the candy store
Bust your konk on peppermint candy
Then you know that you're body's spent.
You don't care if you don't pay rent.
Sky is high and so am I
If you'se a vaper.
note [1] - Mezz Mezzaro was a jazz musician whose connection was to a very high quality smoke and his joints were knicknamed "The Mighty Mezz"!!!
Additional note from wikipedia:
Mighty Mezz, and not too strong. "Mighty Mezz" refers to Milton Mezzrow, a Jewish saxophone and clarinet player who became enamored with black American culture while playing in the speakeasies of prohibition-era Chicago. The self-described "voluntary negro" moved to Harlem after prohibition ended, and in his early years there was known more for his drug-dealing than his playing. The stronger Mexican marijuana that he introduced to the jazz scene in Harlem came to be known simply as "Mezz."[5] As Mezzrow later put it: "Some of our musician pals used to stick these hip phrases into their songs when they broadcast over the radio, because they knew we'd be huddled around the radio in the Barbeque and that was their way of saying hello to me and all the vipers. That mellow Mexican leaf really started something in Harlem."

Re: vaping
Thanks for the song and the story!
The best strain that I grew last year was called Deep Purple, but the flowers and leaves mostly didn't turn purple and the fan leaves near the flowers turned a beautiful gold while it was blooming.
Stories are nice with songs. Quite a few years ago we saw Arlo Guthrie at a small concert in Eugene and he told wonderful stories.

T-Mobile 5g Home Internet
So today I switched from Spectrum Cable Internet to T-Mobiles 5g Home Internet. I had some reservations since I was getting speeds nearest the current modem of about 300 MB/s (400 was advertised as max) download but I am getting similar speeds with the 5G Home Internet.
What REALLY surprised me is that I'm getting over 50MB/s UPLOAD connections regularly. And this is at a time when T-Mobile says there is an issue at the tower I connect to that will take 24-72 hours to get resolved.
Best of all, it is about half the cost that I was paying Spectrum and during the great outage last year I still had cell service when the Spectrum Cable line was down.

I get 8, yes 8, from CenturyLink. Only other options are satellite. Maybe will try starlink but that has its own issues.
