Heard somebody say that the toughest intellectual challenge we can think - of like playing chess or Go - is easy for AI but ask it to do what any baby can do, like tell a fox from a cat, and it's fucked.

But babies learn to distinguish a cat from a dog before they can add up while AI can beat a chess grandmaster and still can't do the simple things a baby can do. we're a very long way off.
