Intelligent Design has been investigated, discussed and dismissed by science years ago. Paley's watch argument centuries ago. If you want to come here and talk about ID, that's fine but it's not a great start linking us to self-published books and papers full of self-congratulatory gobbledegook. If you can't tell us how you know something is designed or not you haven't even started. | I will be submitting to Nature Journal a science article titled, "Scientific Falsification of the Theory of Evolution (ToE) and Its Replacement". You realise of course, that by denying evolution and claiming that the earth is only 6,000 years old you have just abolished practically all of science? Zoology, botany, molecular genetics, palaeontology, cladistics and taxonomy, geology, dendrochronology, archaeology, astronomy, radiophysics, physics itself - all gone. Maybe a bit of chemistry still works? So you think that all of current science is wrong? And that you - who can barely string a coherent sentence together can sort it all out? You're a nutter.

He's mentally ill. I'm not just saying that, he's obviously medically deluded. People with that illness aren't right or wrong, they're just ill. I feel a bit queasy about how we treat people like him here when it's become obvious that he's broken, it's like we're so desperate for argument/discussion that we forget that people can actually be ill.

I saw a magpie building a nest today. It's rather good, domed with a hole in the side. It looked intelligently designed to me, but I couldn't see the plan he was working to. God's plan I guess. It's an English bird so it'll be a Christian bird. Probably. It's getting a bit hard to know these days.
