Re: Thread Moved from Proposed New Topics Forum
It was game over on day 1.
I give it, say, 3 months before the Tories quietly re-start accepting their Russian paymasters' donations, then start work on reducing the sanctions (all the while telling us they're standing firm against Putin's increasingly insane ambitions).
A world of lies, where the privileged get to piss on us from ever increasing heights and in ever increasing volumes.
Edited by vimesey, : No reason given.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Just some twat on the internet.
But underneath the crap it is a real point that just wishing that the world was all nice and well meaning doesn't make it so.

Re: Say What?
Does NATO go to war with Russia? Probably not.
NATO has the superior combined military and economy but military action is dicey, to say the least. Some seem to forget that we're dealing with a nuclear power led by an old-school iron-fisted tyrant.
Do we really want to put a post-nuclear world in the balance with the Ukraine?

Re: Say What?
Remember, Putin already has Chernobyl.
Accidents happen.
And conventional artillery shelling could easily destroy the confinement containers and it would be nearly impossible to tell whose shelling was at fault. The Russians would claim it was Ukrainian counter attack while Ukraine would claim Russian sabotage but most of Western Europe would get the results.

Well, if the russian commanders hadn't already planned how to secure Chernobyl well prior to this assault then I would be very surprised.

Bret Deveraux on the war
Miltiary historian Bret Deveraux offers his opinions.
It’s not comforting reading - but this war could backfire on Putin.

29th anniversary of the "next enemy" - the post-Russia boogeymen.
February 26, 1993.
You always have you some bad guy.
The nationalists told me so.
(Edit. I said you always have to have YOU, not "yo". Typo made it look like I was blaming black nationalists. Lol. White shit was my target. Lol )

The media never polls Lybia, Tunisia, Tanzania, etc. But only white nation's opinion
The media stopped polling Africa a good while ago, when Russia and Putin are the subject.
The Pew Research Center did not like the pro Putin results, from 2017, so now only white nations get polled.
It would be different if you were a "person of the south" who suffered from NATO aggression.
NATO invaded Libya, and destroyed it. Countless humans were killed.
But it is just fine to invade a sovereign nation if they are not Anglo or very white. CNN tells us that every day. Fox News Sunday seemed to feel that way. FOX had the audacity to bring on their "black friend", Condi Rice, to tell us how bad it was to "invade a (white) sovereign nation", while CBS (They "have lots of black friends") had hosts that gave a history of Russian military events since 2008, starting with their lies about Georgia.
(Ossetians were supposed to be "victims" of Russia. FOX filmed Ossetians, in 2008, fleeing a deadly bombing. The questions were loaded to make Russia the bad guy. The refugees kept correcting the Fox questioner, by pointing out the fact that they were fleeing deadly aggression from the GEORGIAN ARMY!)
Putting aside the lies about individual events, they left out real issue - NATO AGRESSION!
The United States media is white supremacist. Plain and simple.

Re: The media never polls Lybia, Tunisia, Tanzania, etc. But only white nation's opinion
Check out the December 16, 2020 Pew Research Center poll on the supposed "international" opinion of Putin and Russia.
It is limited to 12 selected white nations, plus Japan and South Korea.
I suppose Africans need to get through the "reeducation" camp before they are worthy of holding an opinion.

Nation Against Nation
In response to this:
quote:
The United States media is white supremacist. Plain and simple.
How else can media be more "honest" (In your own biased opinion) when the facts show that Putin is clearly a villain, society is slowly changing, but will never agree to "put whites in their place". This world is run by money and through the money, power. Putin is going to permanently break away from the US Dollar (Global reserve currency) system and reinforce the alternative system in league with China. As far as the US media goes, they are simply selling a product and not too many of the readers (especially those with money) care that much about global opinions that disagree with maintaining the status quo. If you want to be accepted and recognized in this world, you wont get far with an argument to replace "white privilege" with "third world privilege". Basically, don't upset the apple cart and don't try and become the new Bosses while vilifying the "Old Bosses". Learn the rules or give everything up and follow Jesus. (The dark skinned ethnic one, not the English white one") .
