Re: The reality is, you have 2 possible choices
That's not fair! What have pigs ever done to deserve such a comparison?
But seriously, you Americans have got to get your act together if you want to avert a disastrous outcome of the election. Your democracy is at stake. And with it, the precarious stability of world politics. It's not great as it is right now, but if Trump is elected, we are all fucked, Americans and everyone else. I'd never have thought I would ever say this, but now may be the time to put that precious second amendment of yours to good use. And this time you could perhaps aim at somebody else than schoolchildren for a change...

Re: Biden drops out of the race
Perhaps a lot of Democrat voters who gave up on Biden and intended not to vote at all, will now reconsider and vote for the new ticket. And maybe even the never-Trumpers on the Republican side now have the opportunity to vote Democrat in good conscience. It is to be hoped that the new Democrat candidate can also mobilize enough of the women and black voters to secure a win and keep Trump out of the White House. I saw a YouTube-video of a man who said that he would vote for whoever was the Democrat candidate, just to ensure that Trump never comes back. I think that's good advice.

Question: what happened?
I have a question. In the Civil War the Republicans were opposed to slavery and, from a liberal standpoint, were considered to be the good guys. As I understand it the Confederacy was backed by a faction of the Democratic Party. (I know it was a bit more complicated than that, but bear with me.) They were against the abolition of slavery and, again from a liberal standpoint, viewed as the bad guys. So, what on earth happened to cause both sides to switch roles so dramatically?

Re: The End
The American people have not learned anything from history. When I was young, my parents' generation looked up to America, they saw it as a country that set the examples for the future. But those days are over. America is now just another banana republic with a convicted criminal waiting in the wings to rape the country. You saw and heard what kind of person Trump is, and what kind of people make up the Republican Party, and still you could not bring yourself to keep them from power. Every bad thing that Trump and his cronies are going to heap on their voters is well deserved. I pity the rest of you.
P.S.: If another pandemic breaks out in the next four years, and Trump remembers his brilliant advice about injecting bleach, don’t argue with him, just hand him a syringe and an ample supply of it and let him have at it.
