I was distracted by the light-speed Milky Way ...
Now, how many pins was it again?
And how big are the angels?

No
Phat writes:
I would say we are at a stalemate.
Well, you would -- achieving a stalemate from a losing position is an achievement of sorts.
Reason has wrestled with supernaturalism for centuries.
And reason is winning: frustratingly slowly, but winning nonetheless. Every time reason opens the door to a better, more humane life, while the supernatural huddles in its dark corner of denial, reason gains ground.
You are losing. Your offer of a draw is rejected.

You disbelieve that in the beginning was the Word but you have no problem with in the beginning Numbers and Chemicals. Which is human conceit.
You believe that the Great High Lord of Creation, Ruler of a Trillion Worlds, murmurs moral instruction directly into your auditory cortex. He holds an especially tender concern for your genitals and their uses.
Human conceit, indeed.

You fancied yourself a missionary to the godless evolutionists, but if we don't already believe you without evidence, you won't show us the evidence?
Our souls teeter on the verge of damnation ... and you wanna play golf?! Or go to the spa?
Your rhetoric rings as hollow as your faith.

Comments?
That's not an argument. It's a bare assertion stated twice.

So what makes it illogical? Falsify it.
Look at it like this:
Let's look at your post in question again.
quote:
Basically he argues that in order for something to exist something always had to exist.
If at any time there was nothing, logic dictates that there would now be nothing.
If I construct a simple syllogism, like so:
All men are mortal.
Socrates is a man.
Therefore, Socrates is mortal.
True premises, sound logical structure.
Now identify what in your post corresponds to the premises above, and what to the conclusion? "Logic dictates" is empty handwaving, a rhetorical device. Logic is like an app for intellectual rigor, a spellcheck for reason, a hound on the trail of fallacies, but it's also garbage in, garbage out.

Got it, good God, loving father. But...
However, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth
when they witness what they will miss out on.
Uh oh. Daddy is angry. Where did the love go?
They will be put to death for all eternity
Because he's just that kind of God-- vengeful, wrathful, lethal; an Old Testament god, pleased to birth children into pain and misery, let them die en masse in horrific ways, then pull them from their graves to kill them all over again, while he torments them.
This is a god crafted by slave-holding, tribal societies needing a big authority stick.
I don't mean this to be offensive, but I am fully convinced
that everyone knows that God exists. Many just refuse to
accept this fact.
I know. You're just that kinda guy.

Also, God killed all but eight people via a worldwide flood.
He killed the inhabitants of Sodom and its sister cities.
Your God did nothing but inhabit your imagination.
This world can trace its roots to natural laws and energies, both more subtle and vast beyond your petty tyrant of the biblical narrative, a monster no better than Cronus eating his gets.
In time, the primitive myths you worship will go the way of animal sacrifice.
He has the authority to judge.
By your worship of that judgment, we know you.

***Little girls are not, neither are little boys. In fact, none
of us are. However, there are far too many who think they
are.
At 72, facing the constellation of ills the flesh is heir to, I neither possess nor care much about badassery.
The sweetest, most innocent little girl who ever lived is more badass than a made-up creature of vengeance and torment.
However, you may have perceived a core truth about me: you could conceivably persuade me this god entity exists, and I still wouldn't worship it.
