Now as that space began to expand between those little somethings each little somethings on exact opposite outsides by the time the first atom formed would be 2,228,964,480,000,000,000 quad driillion miles from the starting point
The size of the universe after the initial inflation was about 10-15 light years. So imagine jamming all of the matter from those billions of galaxies into an area that is now taken up by just a handful of galaxies.
quote:
when matter (normal and dark, combined) began dominating radiation in the Universe, the Universe was about ~10,000 years old, and about 10 million light-years in radius,
when the Universe was only about 100,000 light-years in diameter, roughly the size of the Milky Way galaxy, the Universe was only ~3 years old,
if we step back to when the Universe was ~1 year old, not only was it smaller than the Milky Way is today, but it was incredibly hot: about 2 million K, or almost hot enough to initiate nuclear fusion,
when the Universe was merely ~1 second old, it was actually too hot for nuclear fusion to occur, since any heavy nuclei created would immediately be blasted apart by an energetic collision, and the Universe would have only been about 10 light-years in any direction from you: enough to enclose just the 9 nearest known star systems to our own.
and if we went all the way back to when the Universe was merely a trillionth of a second old — 1 part in 1012 — we’d find that it was only the size of Earth’s orbit around the Sun, or 1 astronomical unit (A.U.), and that the Universe’s expansion rate at that time was a whopping 1029 times what it is right now, today.

Now if space is expanding between each of these little somethings at the speed of light
Nowhere in the visible universe is any galaxy moving away from us at the speed of light. If they were we wouldn't be able to see them.
That really sounds preposterous to me.
Your made up Big Bang Theory is preposterous which is probably why it is not the Big Bang Theory that scientists use.

I didn't address the point but I didn't miss it.
The point of our life is that I described how much He loved me, you, and everybody here, and the world and we don't deserve it but he loved us that much.
Then Paul a law keeper tells us that Jesus took the law and nailed it to his cross taking it out of the way. But during His lessons He gives us two laws to obey and literally they cover the ten given to the children of Israel.
# 1. We are to love God with all our mind, spirit, and body, that covers 1-4.
# 2. We are to love our neighbor as much as we love our self, that covers 5-10.
You know if everybody in the world would do that. there would be no wars, no hungry people, no homeless people, no killings, no crime. That sounds like heaven on earth. But before that could happen everybody would have to love God as much as I do.

science does not disprove Christianity
I think it does the opposite.
Trying to convince me that you could get enough energy in the space one billionth the size of an atom to create the entire universe is a hard sale.
Then trying to convince me that with space expanding at the speed of light between all that stuff can leave enough of that stuff together t0 form an atom is a tougher sale especially since they have no source or mechanism to create that energy.
If there is one thing science has proved it is you can't get something from nothing
Yet they are trying to do that.
GDR writes:
and frankly not spend a lot of time looking for scientific evidence for theological concepts.
I have a burden for the future of my, great, great, great, great and those behind them if Jesus does not come soon. Since woodstock we have two generations of people 20 too 64 born in the "if it feels good do it" era some of them are running our governments, some running up and shooting people for no other reason than it feels good to them, they get a buzz out of it. Some are just doing drugs that other people are paying for one way or the other. The money is either given to them or the take it from someone. Literally they have been taught they are animals and they have started to act like animals and we wonder what is wrong with our country.
Forget the rant I just have to blow off a little steam once in a while.

Re: By the Numbers
I should not be, but I'm amazed that you think you answered the question that I asked AND that you even quoted.
Tanypteryx in Message 111 writes:
ICANT in Message 110 writes:
Space behind them is expanding at the speed of light. Space then is expanding at the speed of light in front of us. Space is expanding at the speed of light behind us causing them to be speeding away from us at the speed of light,
I just have to ask, how do you tell which direction is in front or behind you in space? is it just whatever is behind your head?
ICANT in Message 131 writes:
That would depend on the direction you left the starting point. If I under stand what was supposed to have happen the space began to expand in every direction at once.
What are you talking about? Everything is at the same starting point.
Do you understand that WITHOUT A REFERENCE POINT YOU CANNOT SAY WHAT IS IN FRONT OR BEHIND YOU OTHER THAN WHAT IS IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE AND WHAT IS BEHIND YOUR HEAD? IF YOU SWIVEL YOUR HEAD SOMETHING ELSE ID IN FRONT AND BEHIND YOU.
The expansion of space does not impart a velocity on matter (objects) embedded in space, rather it adds space between objects which makes them recede from each other as time goes on, but that does not create velocity within the local space of the objects.
70 km/sec per Mega parsec (Mpc= 3,260,000 light years) is an approximation of the rate of expansion, so that means that if we look at 2 galaxies that are 1 Mpc apart they will be receding from each other at 70 km every second. Front and behind have no meaning in this situation.

ICANT in Message 131 writes:
That little universe was 1 billionth the size of an atom when it started to expand.
This has no influence on assigning directions with out a stationary reference to objects in space, which was my question.
ICANT in Message 131 writes:
I know that number is way too small but you can probably get an idea of how many little somethings had to come out of that thing that was one billionth the size of an atom.
This doesn't address my question and it demonstrates a flaw in your understanding of BBT. Nothing came out of that thing that was one billionth the size of an atom, instead the thing that was one billionth the size of an atom, grew larger.
ICANT in Message 131 writes:
Now as that space began to expand between those little somethings each little somethings on exact opposite outsides by the time the first atom formed
OK, that sounds simple to understand. So please point out the "exact opposite outsides" from our position right here and now. And exactly where is "outside"
If my understanding is correct, when we look in any direction, the furthest objects we can see (with JWST) are early galaxies a bit more than 13 billion light years away, AND when someone on one of those objects points their JWST in any direction, they also see objects that are a bit over 13 billion light years way from them. So, as counter-intuitive as it seems no galaxy is closer to the "boundary (outside) of the Universe" than any other galaxy. AND, even more mind blowing, the center of the Universe is the whole volume of the Universe!
ICANT in Message 131 writes:
Now if space is expanding between each of these little somethings at the speed of light how do trillions of them get together to form anything? Help

That really sounds preposterous to me.
Yep, that sounds preposterous because it is preposterous. The estimates from different observations are that the expansion rate is ~70km every second, per every megaparsec. So objects 3,260,000 light years (1 megaparsec) apart are getting 70 km further apart every second. Object 2 megaparsecs apart are receding from each other at 140 km every second. As the distance increases, obviously so does the recession speed.
* ABE: I also wanted to point out, if we rotate our position 180 degrees and look at an object the same distance away, but in the opposite direction we will see that we seem to be receding from it at the same rate as the from the first object. SO, WE ARE RECEDING AT THE SAME RATE FROM OBJECTS AT THE SAME DISTANCE, BUT FROM EVERY DIRECTION! WOW!
So, which direction are we moving, again?

No argument there! Most Christians don't do that...they are in the world and of the world. I myself wont claim to be otherwise. I am unworthy to even be a Pastor or teacher since I do not do everything that God surely expects me to do. ringo used to tell me to sell everything I had and become one of the common folk in order to reach the lost. I balked at what he argued chiefly because he himself wouldn't do it nor wouldhe accept Jesus.
In my mind, I was doing what nearly every other Christian I know does. Why listen to the advice of an atheist?

Every single behavior you listed are only demonstrated in humans, it's human behavior. All the behaviors you hate are a part of every generation but on a planet with 8+ billion people there are an increasing number of people doing things you hate, so you see more behavior you hate. There are more people doing good things, too.

ICANT, you stated:
"It does not. That statement was made in the lamentation
to the King of Tyre the devil is mentioned nowhere in that
text. Quit reading things into the Bible you aren't supposed
to add to it. "
***Nor is anyone supposed to take away from it.
The prince of Tyre was a man. However, the king of Tyre
was Satan.
Mortal man has ever been called a cherub, especially
one who covers, as on the mercy seat.
Never was there a man, other than Adam, who ewas in the
Garden of Eden.
This cherub was created. All angels were created beings.
And Adam and Eve were the only humans who were
created. All other humans were born.
Ezekiel 28 make it very clear that the king of Tyre was
Satan. The prince of Tyre served him.

Re: By the Numbers
ICANT, you stated:
"According to the Hebrew Lexicon it means evil and out of
663 times used in the Bible was translated evil 442 times
all other words it was translated as are adjectives.
Since it is a noun evil is the only definition possible in Isaiah 45:7."
***I know how many times that "ra" was translated as
evil. Anyone with a Lexicon can easily find this info.
Distress, adversity, bad (sorry, my bad), trouble, mischief,
affliction, calamity, misery, sorrow, and several other
words translated from ra are also nouns.
God does not create evil. It is against His righteous character.
The opposite of light is darkness.
The opposite of peace is not evil.
The opposite of good is evil.
I form the light, and create darkness;
I make peace, and create adversity, affliction, distress,
calamity (are all good translations. But not evil).
In Psalms 94:13 ra is used twice.
"That you may give him rest from the days of adversity (ra),
Until the pit is dug for the wicked (ra).
The same is true in Genesis 31:29 "It is in my power to do
you harm (ra), but the God of your father spoke to me
last night, saying, 'Be careful that you speak to Jacob
neither good or bad' (ra).
Evil in 45:7 is our of context for ra to be translated as evil.
And, it us also not in God's character.
You should give God more credit than you do.

Re: By the Numbers
ICANT, you stated:
"Where does the Bible say the King of Tyre was the devil?"
***Who do you think he was talking about?

There is no starting point. Space itself expanded, everywhere.
In 380,000 years the universe was 4,460,982,336,000,000,000 miles in diamerer
This is when the first atom formed.
I will agree that is when the first atoms with a nuclei and electrons formed. Prior to that there was plasma which had mass and would have been clumping together through gravity well before the first full atoms formed. That is what we see in the fluctuations in the CMB.
Now if I am wrong and that energy that was one billionth of the size of an atom
did not expand as space expanded then that energy would still be in the same place.
There would have been a limited period of inflation that was faster than the speed of light. That changed quite quickly, and matter was still quite dense during this time. Gravity was easily able to allow that matter to interact.

ICANT, you wrote:

***We know the various meanings of ra. We also know that
Isaiah wrote shalown and ra. Nobody is disputing this.
And no one is disputing that the translators correctly
rendered shalown as peace. But to render ra as evil in
this verse makes no sense in either parallelism, or in
regards to God's devine and righteous nature.
Satan was created without fault. However, he gave all
angels free will. False pride and jealousy were the driving
forces behind Satan's fall.

Re: Focusing on the clear and simple
Why listen to the advice of an atheist?
For a sanity check, of course. Or a reality check, if you would rather. When you have your head buried so deep in musings about the supernatural, it's easy for you to get lost and to lose perspective, to fixate on the unimportant or to take a wrong turn and not realize it.
In USAF tech school, a fellow student (obviously single) enrolled in flight school to get his private pilot license. He told us that the first time up he was concentrating so much on the instruments that his instructor had to tell him to pull his head out ... of the cockpit.
In the Navy Reserve, I completed many NRCCs (Naval Reserve Correspondence Courses), including the Quartermaster (QM) course, NAVEDTRA 14338. The QM assists the Navigation Officer; when the Signalman (SM) rating (AKA "Flags") was disestablished in 2003, it was absorbed into the QM rating. One of a QM's duties while underway would be to periodically get a fix on the ship's location -- similarly, in aircraft the navigator is the busiest member of the crew (I once worked with Leo, a WWII USAAF navigator, who had a few war stories; eg, they were transporting some nurses, one of whom was trying to put the make on him, but he hadn't been able to get a fix for so long that he was far too preoccupied to notice).
I've described this here before. Basically, you set a course using dead reckoning which simply applying simple kinematics: you know where you are starting out from and you can calculate where you will be on a specific heading at a specific speed at the end of a specific amount of time. The problem is that are factors that will throw you off your course (eg, errors in keeping your heading, wind using your superstructure as a sail, ocean currents) and cause you to end up somewhere other than where you calculated you would be. Therefore, the QM will periodically step outside and take a fix of the ship's actual position which he will then take as the starting point for the next dead reckoning leg.
When performing dead reckoning through supernatural space, there is no way to ever get a fix on your actual position.
You need to keep from getting yourself lost, but other theists are just as susceptible to the same problem, only they are lost on their own different courses and cannot help each other. You need the help of somebody who's not suffering from the same problem.
And if nothing else, we can get you to ask questions that should be asked. Which is supposed to be the real function of religion, according to my minister: not to provide "answers" (which cannot be questions, one would add), but rather to get us to ask the right questions.

Who is that we you are talking about do you have a mouse in your pocket?
What would you suggest the translation of רע should be?
What part of speech is it in this application?

If angels have freewill give me a scripture where they were ordered to do something and they did not do it or where they were ordered not to do something and they did it anyway. That includes the devil.
BTW have you studied Biblical Hebrew or just modern Hebrew.

"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
