Re: Two sides: parallel lines
Hum.. It seems to me there are many CHurches that claim they are the church of God.
Or rather, they have the right way of worshpping god.

Re: Two sides: parallel lines
I know, it is a problem. And one shared by those who kneel before the god of Science Philosophy too. It seems the only adherents to that religion are the adherants to that religion. But like all religons they cannot demonstrate why it is that their religion is the way and the truth and the life.
Fortunately. Otherwise we couldn't have all the fun we have at EvC

Wow, no matter how many times it is explained... and no matter how SLOWLY it is explained we still have this RIDICULOUS claim that science is a religion..
Science WORKS, that is why it is not a religion. Religion is based on faith... I don't need faith in science because I can test it!
If I write a new program or script I can test it to see if it works.
Your computer works, cars work, anti-biotics work, etc. etc. etc.
Science just works. It is actually the OPPOSITE of religion in some ways. For many religions you have to believe for it to work (at least supposedly). Science works whether you believe in it or not. Iano can deny the theory of evolution, but medical testing on chimpanzees will still provide medical advances he can benefit from. Science works for Iano even though he may not believe in it.
In religion belief is everything
In science belief is irrelevant
