I am a Catholic physicist. I think your assertions regarding Catholicism and evolution are incorrect and go beyond what the Magisterium has taught on this subject.
I direct your attention to this Vatican document, particularly Paragraphs 62-70, from last year, produced by a commission under the authority of Pope Benedict XVI when he was still Cardinal Ratzinger:

Note that in paragraph 63, the current scientific consensus on evolutionary theory is stated, and, as such, the commission declined to criticize it.
What the Church condemns is unwarranted philosophical extrapolations from the theory of evolution that exclude divine causality, not the science itself. Such philosophical extrapolations go beyond what can be said scientifically.
As stated in Paragraph 69 of the above document, and as taught at least from the time of Aquinas, God can and typically does act through natural secondary causes, and thus there is no conflict with the science of evolution and the Catholic faith.
