My right knee is a little tricky to get down on - ice skating lessons years ago. What do you suggest for that, andrew7? And what exactly does "supporting evolution" have to do with this God guy? The Pope doesn't have any issues with it. Neither do most Christians around the world. What's your objection?

ask yourself
Me, if I kneel down before God Almighty in the end of times, I would say that I am able to read what He had written in the facts of nature. Who knows, maybe He would love to hear that. And He had revealed to me that there are no other gods but God only; and Jesus is only His prophet.
Of course, it's my theology or your theology, we cannot resolve this until both of us get there.

Re: ask yourself
I believe that we do not need to wait till 'we get there' to know the will of God, if we would accept humbleness before our Maker than we can know his will, after all he is very open to our questions and he most certainly answers them... He gives his best everyday, thank God we are not in his position because we rarely give our best everyday...
and about that knee problem.. well nothing is beyond God to fix... just try asking him with a sincere heart and not just lip service.
Pray that I do not stray from the path but keep my eye single brethren.

Re: ask yourself
Obviously evolution has nothing to do with God. Evolution is like the easter bunny. While God is actually real.

That's nice of you, but I already do.

I hope that God will be pleased with my small service in trying to ensure that those thousands were not left with the impression that to, as you put it "know Jesus as their savior" they had to subscribe to a scientifically untenable position.

Just think about it!
I think about it far too much.

Re: ask yourself
Wow, does that mean that I should pray to God to cure genetic disease, or is it a better bet to rely on science and evolutionary theory to understand genetic disease?
I wonder which one will yield better results?

Actually, science and medicine are two of the many tools that God inspires and works through.
And yes, he does have the capability of curing a genetic disease.

Really? And you have an example of this miraculous cure of a genetic disease? Please post a reference. Thanks.

Fine if you want to think that, but science and medicine were bitterly opposed by the Church for a long time.
It's also true that science and medicine work just fine; in fact, work much better, without religion or God in the content.

No kidding! You have evidence of this work of God, then?
Let's see it!

Re: ask yourself
there are numerous thousands of miracles happening everyday over all the earth... I have read so many accounts of the miraculous power of Jesus Christ that I can not even begin to start...
I pray to God that he open your eyes, certainly that he remove the blinders from your eyes that have masked you from this.
Here is one you can start with .. Chicken Soup for the Soul.. any of them will have repleat accounts of miraculous powers... here is another, certainly you have a Pentecostal church in your area, go and talk to some of there people and certainly you will find that even in your own community there have been miracles... Look up Charles S. Price... you don't have to look very far.. ask your family members which are Christians...
And just so you know I do not subscribe to any particualar denomination, we are all but the body directed by the head(Jesus the Christ) to move.

Re: ask yourself
You say that the church was against science.. but yet most science originates from with believers... certainly certain parts of the church oppose science but probably a larger portion support it...
You speak from a limited understanding... science is not evolutionism, and science is not creationism, but science is science... evolution and creationism are explanations.
