Discussing the evidence that support creationism

Hi, Aqualegia. Welcome to the fray! Just so you know, when I first came to EvC in 2004, I used to get really frustrated at some of the arguments that I was faced with. Don't take them personally, for God is big enough to handle it and so should you be as well. My question to you is this: Why must creationism be true?Personally, I believe that God existed before anything else, and I believe that God foreknew the formation of Earth as well as the individual characters which would populate it throughout time.I have no problem with Biological Evolution as a plausible fact, however.

But look at the Pharisees and Jews in Jesus day. They took OT scrolls at face value and yet missed the mark. Salvation came to the people no one would have thought. Why can this not be true again? Why cant church folks be so intent on thinking they know the entire truth that they miss the mark? Why can't salvation be possible based on the law written on our hearts rather than contained in a book? Edited by Phat, : spelling
