questions about the origin of singularity = nothing

First off, I would like to say thanks for responding to my post. But u guys didn't really answer my question. Maybe I should've been more clear. I understand there is evidence to suggest that our universe had a starting point. I also understand that there is evidence to suggest that at the region or place(or whatever u wanna call it)it was really hot and dense. But what I don't get is why people believe it started from ''nothing''. Wouldn't logic dictate that matter can't come from nothing.
