But why???
I believe the answer will never be known to humans. How could it be?
Even if scientific inquiry could someday show how abiogenis works, or what the conditions of reality were before the Big Bang. Or if the universe is open or closed. If the grand unifying theory of everything was discovered.....like a three year old there will always be another question, why? And personally I prefer it that way, how boring existance would be if we had all the answers.
God if ( he / she/ it ) exist , IMO would trancend scientific inquiry.
Yes go ahead and roll your eyes. But think about it, If you are a fish in an aquarium, do you KNOW by what mechinisms the food drops into the tank? No, all you can do is see patterns, patterns of when the food comes, patterns of what kind. etc.. and make predictions on that. Humans have drilled down to the very bottom of what makes up our reality, and we have found it to be unknowable. There is nothing there. It is all being manifested by something, but what? and why? I do not think we will ever know.
Ok, line up and stone me now!!!

Re: But why???
I agree.
I like it that way, too.
That's why I'm agnostic. There's no use agonizing over something unknowable, so I jut leave it alone.
Other people are not comfortable with such ambiguity, so they decide to belive that God is the cause.
