You may be right
The reasons for the rejection of evolution are emotional in nature.
I was thinking about this last night and I think you are correct. The answer is that no amount of evidence would be sufficient. Since it is ideological that they believe what they believe, to actually see evidence of evolution would destroy their faith.
I guess changing minds is out of the question but I think that keeping it out of schools in all its disguises is certainly possible.

Re: Because I said So! (and refuse to learn!)
...if a species has to unable to breed with it's parents...
...advantagious mutations in animals more often than not are dissapated into the gene pool...
... the animal would breed with another animal of the 'old' species...
I find it annoying that you repeat these misconceptions that were already covered and well-explained in a thread you started and took part in.
Is it that you want to stay ignorant?
Or perhaps that you can't argue against what the theory of evolution actually says, and so continue to argue against your silly version of it?

Re: First Piece
ou do not see logic in my question? Science is an incomparable drama playing itself out against the backdrop of the universe. It brings to me more than I could possibly absorb in several additional lifetimes, except that one thing, that FIRST thing.
I want that first thing, Ned. Can you blame me?
Well here's a suggestion, enroll at the local college and sign up for all the hard science courses, find a good mentor for graduate school in the field that looks most probable. While you are doing this you should also be undertaking a deep study of religion. Expect to experience nirvana, OBE, and a "burning in the bosom".
I can't guarantee this will bring you to knowledge of the FIRST THING, but You'll have a lot of fun.
