Reasons for Creationist Persistence

That was a very interesting, helpful and clear post. Thank you for that.What puzzles me most is that evangelical leaders feel justified in lieing to their followers. Even though their mistakes are pointed out, they continue to spread misinformation. I would be grateful if you would give us some idea how they find themselves able to do this, and what they hope to gain by it.
