What is science?

Bumping this topic because Mark24 just proposed a very similar topic. John Paul was the most active Creationist in this thread, and it has dropped down the active thread list while waiting for him to reply. But this seems the right thread, so perhaps Mark24 could discuss the topic here? His thread proposal can be found at Windsor castle.

An aside: if you use the UBB codes for quoting, you won't have to keep typing "John Paul:" over and over, and your posts will be more readable. First, I would like to thank John Paul for his willingness to resume discussion in this thread. At a minimum, the exchange of information should prove illuminating to both sides, and who knows, maybe we'll settle something. Stranger things have happened! Second, I ask the evolutionists to recognize that John Paul is making a very gracious concession by resuming discussion here. Please respect this by giving his arguments careful consideration.Unfortunately I have to post this without having read what has been posted here recently. I hope to have time to read this thread a little later today.--Percy

Hi John Paul!I'm replying to you because you mention it, both here and in a couple other messages, but this information is for everyone.Conspicuous by its absence from the Forum Guidelines is any mention of maintaining a continuous presence here. There is also no requirement that a discussion be completed once begun. Those who wish to be courteous often provide notice that they'll be away.But neither can periodic absences be used, inadvertently or not, as a method of topic avoidance.
