quote:
I've recently, and repeatedly, had a few of my ideas flat out ridiculed by people who called them "ridiculous" and "idiotic". Perhaps these ideas aren't "scientific" but I personally feel that they stand up perfectly well by certain standards of YEC science.
stop kidding yourself, YEC isnt science. the last time it was science was 400 years ago.
quote:
1) Downward Pusher - Gravity is not a law. What we "believe" is gravity "attracting two objects with mass" is simply the downward force exherted upon us by the Intelligent Pusher. It is through his devine providence that we don't go spinning out into space.
you can believe what you want, but general relativity still holds truth. the laws of physics still exists, no matter what 'being' might be behind it.
quote:
2) Upside Down Evaporation - Many of the features of the Great Flood don't stand up against modern geology, however, this is because geologists are assuming that the waters of the Flood behave like water we see today on Earth. My assertion is that these waters actually evaporated from the bottom up - thus salt deposits could form underneith other layers, erosion could happen backwards, etc.
and you are assuming that this did happen, how does that make you any more credible. oh but it doesn't because you have absolutely nothing to base this off of but your own wild ideas.
quote:
3) Random Species POP-ulation. New species randomly POP into existance. (usually with the audible sound). This accounts for why so many species that exist today don't exist in the past. It also allows for different species without macro-evolution.
Anyone wanna take a stab at these.
this theory could only be explained by a very powerful intelligent force, known by some as god, by others as alien. there is no evidence for this, in fact transitional fossils and vestigial organs make Intelligent Design a more irrational theory. But it is not entirely impossible, though very unlikely.
what is more likely is evolution and that is why it is more logical. that is why more intelligent people support the evolution theory.
quote:
By the way, I know some of you think I'm being silly here, but I honestly KNOW these to be true, so good luck proving me wrong.
Also, I read these in a book.
you arent being silly, you are being ignorant. but its okay, we all learn these things sometime. learning is perpetual. you cannot know these to be true, even if they are. ignorance is close-mindedness and arrogance, which you seem to be filled with.

Re: LOL
i see,
[crazy theory]well i believe that the RNA that all life evolved from on the planet was originally an experiment done by a superior intelligent alien race. they are constantly watching us, but never revealing themselves. They are testing how evolution works over billions of years because, of course, they have a much, much longer life span that us and also an extremely advanced brain. and you can't say i'm wrong because its true. an alien came to me in my sleep using telepathy and told me all of this. after learning the truth, i began looking through history and all the facts lead to the conclusion that this theory is real.[/crazy theory]
you're right about saying that no evidence, no matter how irrefutable can disprove someone's theory. because they have to disprove the theory themself before they stop believing it. but i think if enough evidence is shown, and if the person is not too stubborn to admit being wrong, then it is possible to change someone's ideas. the smartest people are the ones who can easily admit when they are wrong, in the face of overwhelming contrary evidence.
that quote at the end of your post seems to sum up the thoughts of most creationists.
