Now, which one is sadder for the mind??

Say what??!! How in the name of (insert favorite supernatural creature here) does "which one is sadder?" for you enter into which one is a more accurate description of the world around us? Is science supposed to be "those assumptions which make me feel fuzzy-warm inside?"

Would you care to take a shot at defining "absolute moral values"? Specific cross-cultural examples would be helpful. For instance, what are the absolute moral values shared between the !kung hunter, Fiji Island fisherman, Nepalese monk, Amazonian swidden agriculturalist, US stock broker, French missionary, Russian university student, Berber nomad, and Chinese peasant?

Leave that stockbroker out and I might take a stab at that....

It seems to me that the Torah, Qur'an, and Bible are the ones telling their adherents to slaughter the infidels, and that Ham's descendents are to be "servants of servants," etc.
