Re: ideas causing a buzzz
Welcome to EvC Atheist641.
So, if I go to my local cafe and look at the menu and they don't mention god in the menu, does that mean they are anti-god?
Unfortunately, you will have to stop frequenting your local cafe for the safety of your immortal soul and the souls of every young child in your neighborhood.
If people like this actually knew what they were doing to the Christian faith. They are the ones that should be worried.

Re: common misconception
Maybe you could read a bit more carefully. Trixie is asking which creation account is the accurate one and how you can say that one is simply a closer look at the other. In one account the order of creation is plant, animal, man and in the other account the order of creation is plant, man, animal.

Re: you must admit..
No one is getting suspended in your examples for prayer or carrying of a bible. The issues involved are pushing their beliefs on others, especially after being asked not to, and to using a school sanctioned daily broadcast to advocate a particular belief system.
When I was in school, and also in my children's schools, students brought bibles to school all the time. Students before meals and tests. Heck, students even held prayer meetings on school property. None of these things are illegal.
