Heartily seconded. I hope that once the debate, such as it is, is concluded, we can archive those posts as a "must read" on this website. Classic point-by-point refutations. I'll add that I'm looking forward to S1WC's response.

Message: Determinism and indeterminacy (post 4)In some of the most inspired and creative writing I've seen in a long time, Omni "showcases" how an analogy, taken to its logical conclusion, proves the original intent of the person who used it to be completely erroneous. A sample:

I only wish I could write as clearly as this. It's almost a shame the rhetoric is embedded in a discussion with one of the forum's more, hmmm, problematic posters. I don't suggest it is wasted - after all, we all can read and enjoy it - but I have to say it's too bad the recipient will probably be unable to appreciate it as it deserves.
