The "Posts of the Month" forum index page. These topics listed at the above page are still available for additions.----- Now for February, 2005 (as per previous months):
quote: Please post your votes for the February, 2005, Post of the Month here. Include author, forum name, thread name, post number, eg: Name: Velvet Tongue Forum: Evolution Thread: I'm no monkey Post #: 17
A link to the message, and perhap a SHORT comment would also be nice. But, this is NOT a place to debate the referenced topic - so be nice. I think that a fairly liberal use of this topic would be a good thing for indexing some nice messages that are otherwise doomed to be lost in the clutter. So, if you encounter a message that seems to say something of special substance, please give it a plug/reference in this topic. New year, new month, same old message and routine, Adminnemooseus

JonF Does the Homework
Message 7 JonF supplies a well laid out post with a tonne of useful references. What would be really interesting now is CK's friend's response. This message has been edited by NosyNed, 02-01-2005 16:30 AM

TheLit Serves Up A Side Dish of Baugh
Poster: TheLiteralist Forum: Dates and Dating Thread: Hammer Found in Cretaceous Layer Post: #130 TheLit honestly appraises Baugh's spurious hammer and other tales, and comes to the same conclusion as his ideological opponents. It's very refreshing when an honest man comes to an honest conclusion - in spite of whether or not the answer would be emotionally satisfying. Well done, TheLit.

Re: Quetzel makes it clear
Can I second a nomination? Speaking as one who does not know much about RNA I fell into the category of "there might be someone reading this that could learn something" and I did.

Re: The Symbiont that Wasn't (and more?)
I agree. This is the kind of multi level conversation I was trying to trigger in the long Lam " I dont understand a thing brad writes" thread, last fall. It finally happened. That is a good thing.

no evidence for a flood
Name: Gary Forum: Geology and the Great Flood Thread: Objections to Evo-Timeframe Deposition of Strata Post # 117 I feel that this write up is one of the best I've seen as to how the geologic record contradicts the idea of a global flood.

Re: no evidence for a flood - Many fine postings, a fine topic in general
Forum: Geology and the Great Flood Thread: Objections to Evo-Timeframe Deposition of Strata I agree that Gary's posting is very good. But I will add that (like the topic I commented on in message 8, above) this message is but one of many solid postings. I think that NosyNed's message 115 is also very good. I chipped in my bit, and Edge has said much. So many people have contributed so much. In all, perhaps the best geologic topic I have encountered at . Special thanks to Faith, for single-handedly holding down the creationist side of the discussion. Being the one against the many is no easy thing to be. Moose

All of Mick's Posts!!
Mick has only been here a bit. He has taken the trouble to add useful information (links) to posts that have been quiet. His posts are short and to the point. He even brings new thoughts here (which is hard to do). A nomination for all of them. Examples:

My vote is for Gary also. I have this post bookmarked as a reference guide to Grand Canyon stratigraphy. ABB

Best Title Ever -- by DHA
Message 1 The title is so good he really didn't need any further argument. It is the crux of much of these kind of arguments (and includes the ol' 747 too). This message has been edited by NosyNed, 02-23-2005 10:40 AM
